New Special Teams Coach

Postby mckeesrockstheburg » Thu Jan 21, 2010 8:26 pm

OK, you seasoned vets and insiders, what 's the skinny on this guy?

Is he a "demanding" coffin corner kicker type? (You WILL hit inside the 20 and it WILL NOT go in the endzone.)
Is he a "kickoff as far as you can" or "short kicker" guy so they can run it back?

Is he a disciplined guy who tells his players when they try an onsides "IT MUST GO 10 FREAKING YARDS BEFORE YOU TOUCH IT" , so move out the receiving team and get your 10-yd scoop?

Is he "everyone goes to the ball and watch the backside while you do it" type?
Do his teams and his stategy work?

Who has the info?

Hope this guy proves me wrong, but being fired by Singletary does not speak well of him.
On the other hand, it means that Ligashesky is getting on with whatever his life's work is and is
no longer tormenting the Nation with his piping hot mess of a special teams unit. The quality
of same needs to be improved.

I agree. And let's face it. SF's ST didn't exactly set the world on fire last year.

I talked to a friend of mine who's a 49er fan and he said that they didn't allow too many big returns but their own return game sucked. He would call revereses at random that would pin them deep late in the game.

Sadly, I too have adopted PSUPERCY's philosophy on this one.

It would help if they had a kicker who knows what a touchback is....

I've heard some good, and bad about him. The Jury's out on Everest... Til his Spec. Teams fuck up. He doesn't have very big shoes to fill. Ligashitsky was a complete failure.
Bruce Arians: Proudly carried the Honor of Short Bus All-Star 2007-2011. Good job, and glad you're gone Dumbfuck!!!!!
