Rooney's and staff ignore Steeler Nation?

Postby Steelhope » Fri Jan 15, 2010 4:06 pm

Rooney has no problem with our OC.....while BA was not the ONLY thing wrong this season... many if not most of us thought he was a major contributor to our team's failure to make the playoffs. Evidently we are "just the fans" and what we think really DOES NOT MATTER!
Shit.... all that bitchin and moanin for nothing. Any thoughts?

With the possible exception of myself the Rooneys are smarter than we are.

I guess when you write the checks, you get to pick who stays and who goes. If arieans runs a few more times a game, I got no problem with him :suahhbs: :subngtowl: :sufu:

If Rooney came into where you work & told you how to do your job, what would you do?

If you're looking for a coaching scapegoat for 2009, it certainly shouldn't be Arians although he has exhibited more than a bit of ignorance this year in his play calling. Nope, that distinction goes to Dick LeBeau and his leaking sieve of a pass defense. Even Coach Tomlin himself gave this unit a vote of NO CONFIDENCE given that onside kick decision against Green Bay. Yep, losing Troy and losing A. Smith was a tremendous loss, but this unit lacked depth when it counted, and whose friggin' fault is that? Yep, Tomlin and LeBeau. Is there anyone on this board with "Fire LeBeau" as their username?

Art Rooney has said he spoke w/ Tomlin and Arians about running more and not abandoning the traditional team philosophy. It sounds like he wants to keep some stability but make adjustments to improve the game planning. Sounds alright to me.

Yep...cause it's always nice to have a $100 million dollar QB around...to hand-off a few extra times

I'm fine with balance...and I'm fine if Rooney wants to make suggestions to his HC...but I think he should keep it behind closed doors....not necessarily Post-gazette material.

I'm sure Tomlin doesn't want to look like a yes man...and I'm pretty sure Rooney doesn't want to look like Jerry Jones Jr.

Maybe I'm all wet...
