I'm Still Numb

Postby NJSteel27 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 12:33 am

I'm Numb.
And it will NEVER wear off.

The hapless Jets are in the playoffs (and they just beat the Bungholes.)
Their over-inflated coach needs to be taught a lesson. You can start with one that involves a bit more restraint at the dinner trough.

The Jests should be 7-9 !!!!!!!

Come on man, there's a little solace here. Look at it this way: we didn't really deserve to make the playoffs.

Having said that, going into week 17, there's really only 2 reasons we didn't -

The Patriots laid down
The Bengals laid down

What occurred this weekend was some poetic justice. The Patriots got their asses completely handed to them.

As for the Bengals, how beautiful was that fucking shit? The reason they had to play the Jets was because they didn't beat them last week. So in a way, one of the things the Bengals did which kept the Stillers out ended up costing them huge.

In the end, the Bengals won the same amount of playoff games we did this year. At least we still get to claim ourselves the reigning Super Bowl champions for the next month.

Exactly. Now, the Colts need to go down and the Tri-Fecta will be complete. It almost makes these horrible games (minus AZ-GB), thus far worth watching.

That's all well and good.
But, I live in God-forsaken NJ, home of the Giants and Jets. And, while I agree that I expect there to be partiality for their home team, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to hear all the crap they spew from their puke-colored bodies.

Can you believe I actually got into a (friendly) argument with a Jets fag who says they deserve to be in the playoffs based on their record alone and the fact that their defense was better than Pittsburghs of last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I told him the Jets were in reality a 7-9 team, his only response was that they beat the Bung-holes and that vindicated their record.

It's crap like this and their chest-pounding as legitimate successors to OUR title that gets me all crazy.

Hey man - as long as Dallas, Jetz, or Balty doesn't win the SB, I'm satisfied. Wouldn't it be ironic if San Diego played Minnesota in the SB? Two teams that we beat!!!!

Haha. Ludicrous. Just wait bro. I got $5 says the Chargers hang like 35+ on them this weekend.
