To all the folks asking us to leave off Arians - I have one question - Do you really want him as the OC next year?

With the weapons the Stillers have on offense, they should be scoring 40+ points per game

Maybe not 40, but 35+ certainly AND easily.

I will beat the dead horse I have been riding: If Arians would worry more about moving the chains instead of scoring in 59 seconds or less, we keep the D off the field, we wear the other team out, we score more points and make it harder for teams to catch up. IF HE WOULD ONLY EXPLOIT SOMEONE'S WEAK POINTS! (I give up on that point) We ALL agree we have more weapons than NE, Balt., Jets, Tenn., few others. Problem is the idiot OC thinks they're ALL Howitzers. Never mind they all have different, yet, effective skills.

Why don't we throw to Spaeth? Becasue the white clydesdale can't run or block worth a bag of slop, BUT, the guy is 6'7'' ! Maybe he's bigger than MOST safeties or LB's assigned to him? How hard to get him 3 or 4 yds off the ball line and convert 3rd downs, or 2nd & short with a mis-match. Why aren't Logan or Wallace used ala Welker? {Quick tosses like that prevent sacks, negative plays - ever see Brady sacked? Not often and he runs worse than Ben!} LB's can't cover them, safeties and CB's covering the other guys. Speed kills, but Arians uses it to kill US - by keeping it on the bench. We win IN SPITE of him.

Making excuses for the D, eh? Giving blame to someone for something they have no control over, eh? In 16 games this season, the Steelers offense had a total of 523:04 or 33:09 per game in TOP. Opposing teams had a total of 450:18 or 28:14 against us in TOP. Care to try again?

For someone who cares only about the wins, you sure do spit out a lot of statistics... And as you know, the TOP stat is meaningless if you can't convert in the RZ.

I still say anyone or even just Ben calling the plays would do better than Arians. I guess you're willing to put up with more of the same next year. I for one, am not. But it doesn't look like we have much choice at this point.

i don't think anyone wants him as O.C. next year.

i think the argument people are trying to make is it's not surprising that he wasn't fired this time because of the stats our offense put up.

we scored 21 more points this season, and won 3 fewer games.

the silver lining in all this..... arians barely avoided the chopping block even with the fine stats generated.

This Packers Cards game is very illustrative......... In contrast to the Stillers' "O", the Cards "O" plays extremely well with a lead.......... The reason? The "D" tries to stop certain aspects of the game, and starts leaving other aspects open. The Cards exploit that, Arians is totally oblivious to it.

This is why it seems like the Stillers always hit a wall when it comes to extending leads. (In the SB year, the defense occasionally extended the lead, but that's it.) When the opposing "D" gets desperate, we play right into the desperation instead of exploiting it.

This is reason alone why Bruce Airhead must be fired.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

Arians couldn't find his ass with both hands, a compass and pictures.
remember Minn. game and Winfield, their ProBowl CB, was out? He throws to his fill-in who started maybe twice? "It's not fair", says the Clueless One, " we are pros and we don't want to make our oppenents look bad or feel bad." (Or some other liberal-crap reason.)

Gosh, he is so not necessary to the Steelers. 2-Back Offenses seemed to be running OK over weekend.

BTW, ANYONE SEE DANNY KREIDER MAKING ROOM FOR THE BACKS TO RUN AROUND ON SUNDAY? ANYONE MISS HIM YET? I SURE DO. Hey Bruce, FB does not mean "Fat Babes". It means FULL-BACK, YOU DITZ. Why don't you get one?
