Who we could've had....

Postby bigjoespompano » Fri Jan 08, 2010 7:10 am

I was talking to a Bears pal of mine and he was real excited. He's going high in the draft and they've got a nice new OC that has everyone in Chicago buzzing. My Redskins pal is psyched as they are also getting a high pick and are getting a 'legend' for a coach. Plus they are getting a completely new set of coaches. He can't wait for next season!

And what do WE have to look forward to? Another year of fattfukk Offense and Altzeheimers-based Defense. I look at the coaches out there that we coulda had and I just get sick. Imagine what we could be if you plugged in a few of the 'Free Agents' out there. Nope, you take 'em. We're very happy with what we got....

Well you can tell your Bears pal to get un-excited, because the Bears don't have a 1st or 2nd round pick this year.

The Steelers will still finish with a better record then both those teams. And they gutted their offensive coaches because their offenses were worse then ours. The only skill position player on either of those teams that's better then a Steeler is Brandon Marshall....and I wouldn't be surpirsed if he is an ex-Bronco next year. That legend of a coach was very average when John Elway retired.

I've never been able to root for a loss for my team. I've said a thousand times that I hope the Steelers lose the last two games of the final season so that we could get a higher draft pick, but when I watched the games I couldn't help but cheer our boys on. I'm guessing that we will probably pick in the late teens, maybe even 20th overall. I would've loved to have a top 10 pick, but I'm glad we won anyways. Fuck it. Hopefully a defensive stud falls to us. I'm glad we won, wish we could've had one more

Those two teams and 4 or 5 others say the same thing every year and they are still shit.

Are you shitting me with this?

First of all, aside from the season where the Bears went to the Super Bowl (and lost), neither one of these teams has done JACK SHIT in over 20 years.

Glad to hear that people in Chicago are 'buzzing'. I wonder how the buzz is this year in relation to last year's after they got the best QB in the world (Jay Cutler).

Yeah, look at the dope free agent signings from last year. That Haynesworth thing really worked out well in Washington didn't it?

And the coaches. Don't even get me started on that shit. Legend for a coach? What the fuck is he Vince Lombardi suddenly? I'm not saying Shanahan is a bad coach but let's face it... he was fired in Denver because they haven't done shit since Elway retired.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not pleased Arians is coming back. But there's no way in the world I'd be at all envious of a Redskins or Bears fan. Their 2010 seasons are probably over already.

Screw that man. Those high picks are way too expensive. We should be able to address any of our needs with a middle of the round pick. And I still say they've done a pretty decent job with the draft since Tomlin's been here.
