Postby stillgrill » Thu Jan 07, 2010 3:14 pm

Josh Cribbs not happy w/ the Clowns.

Surely we could shit-can Stefan Logan for a guy who could play THREE positions (RB, QB, RB)!!

Some people are their dreams. First off, the Browns are probably going to re-sign Cribbs. Even if they don't, he has 3 years left on his deal. The regotiations are just in the beginning stages. The Browns want to keep him for as little as possible, and Cribbs wants as much as possible. Obviously there is a low mark Cribbs is willing to take, and obviously there is a maximum the Browns are willing to give.

However, if they were to trade him, they would be asking for a whole lot in return. Also, there is a 0% chance they would trade him to the Steelers. It's for the same exact reasons why there are never trades involving t he Steelers, Browns, Ravens, and Bengals with each other. You don't trade impact players within the division, and you sure as hell don't trade them to your biggest rival. Go play Madden if you want to see Cribbs in a Steelers uniform.

I am relatively happy with Stefan Logan anyway. He seemed to improve as the season went on and has definately been an upgrade compared to years past. Also, a new ST coach may drastically improve his overall game.
I agree with BGSU on the Cribbs trade possibilty, which is out of the question. Besides, when was the last time the Stillers made a trade like that?

He sure did improve. Must have read a few of these posts.
Seems several of us noticed he always ran into the wedge and got whacked at the 18-22 yd lines.
Last 3 or 4 games anyway, he seemed to finally "get it". Like,.. run AWAY from those who would choose to take you down.

Geez, ...ya think?

Whats really sad is that the Browns best player caught 20 passes and is just a glorified kick returner. Their money would probably be better spend elsewhere.

I'd rather focus on shoring up the secondary and dumping Farrior into the Alegheny...He's wayyyyy over the hill at this point.

Exactly, the only Cribbs on our sideline will be the ones for our thumb-sucking DBs.
