Ocho Cinco may hint players don't want to 'lay down'?

Perhaps last weekend's decision by Jim Caldwell to bench his starters didn't only upset the Colts starters, but other teams' starters as well. Ocho Cinco's challenge to Revis of the Jets could be part of a larger sentiment of players that it's more important to play out this final week and keep momentum, rather than sitting on the bench, even if the game itself has no real ramifications. Coaches know that maintaining player morale at this time of year is huge, and don't want to go out of their way to damage their stars' collective psyche. I could be wrong, but look for the Bengals to keep their starters in the game and pull them only in the case of a blowout. It's been a four-year drought for the Bungles to get to the playoffs, and I don't see Marvin Lewis doing anything to upset his team's confidence.

What Jim Caldwell did was beyond stupid. He had possible history in the making. Now the Colts Prez comes out and says an Undefeated Season was never the goal... Really??? I guess I was wrong. All teams DON'T play to win as many, or every game they can during the season. Strike Indy from that list. I hope they get eliminated from the Divisional Round. That would make my day.
If the Bungles lay down, it wouldn't surprise me, regardless of what Chad says. I highly doubt they'll risk their star players, and show their hand, especially if they see the Jets the following week.

I personally think most teams do NOT want to see us in playoffs and Cincy & NE will lay down. That said, I am fine with that. We gain a few more draft positions that we desparately need if we stay home.
Need defensive side of the ball top get back to Steeler "D" style. Start with a nasty linebacker to replace Taunto, a safety to replace Clark, DB to replace Gay, or even Ike. I truly believe the OL is coming along but a Steeler center is needed. I'll live with Starks and Colon until D is in better shape.
A better offensive scheme to use what we have can correct alot of ills. ANYONE KNOW WHAT KEN ANDERSON DOES ALL DAY? Sure don't see much change in Ben's game. Throw deep or wait for the coming invasion seems to be the norm STILL! I'd love to see him drop 10-15 pds, move around like old days and play "SMART" like 15-1 year. Move the damn chains, that is all we ask. This 3 & out crap is moronic. Exposes the "D" and puts opposition in better field position all the time. We have the skill players to do those 8-10 minute drives we were famous for. We just a coordinator who is offensive, that's all.

What Marvin Lewis will do Sunday Night is the most eagerly anticipated event in the NFL this week. Never mind the Steelers for a minute. The outcome of the game will determine what becoems of the Jets and their idiot buffoon coach Rex Ryan. This is the same pinhead that incorrectly prnounced his team OUT of the playoffs TWO WEEKS AGO!
Now - for us the game will take on meaning if the Gays beat the Texans and we take care of the fish
Can you imagine if we win - the Gays lay down and lose to the Texans - and the BUNGS WIN???
It will throw gasoline on the allready smouldering fire of hatred for the Belejerk led Patriots

Of course I want to play. I don't want to lose a game. You don't just forfeit these games. Playing Houston, I don't want to see one of them in the offseason and them saying 'Hey, we beat you guys.' Screw that. You have to go out there and play."
A win for New England is far more important for them, than for what it could possibly do on Pittsburgh's behalf. The last decade suggests that a team finishing the regular season playing its best is far more likely to reach their championship goal than the best team from the regular season who has packed it in till the playoffs. This is the NFL and every game is critical at the end of the season!! The Patriots should know this as well as any team in all of sports. I know for a fact this game means a lot to the Houston Texans. The Patsies are bound to suffer a letdown if they willingly compromise the the competitive integrity of this game, and allow the Texans a free pass into something other than a franchise doomed to suffer from eternal mediocrity. The Colts will learn soon enough that shit is poisonous. The descision to swallow a "Dirty Sanchez", effectively granted Indianapolis' blessing that a team with no legit QB be allowed to sneak into the playoffs. Very poor choice

We shall see. It is definitely going to be an exciting final week of NFL play. Three weeks ago I was going through the whole anger blame denial acceptance thing. Now I am psyched again and ready to make my family nuts tomorrow
