One observation. If the Bungs do lay down for the Jets Sunday, then come back and beat the shit out of the Jets in the Wildcard -

The World will know that they chose to face the Jets instead of the Steelers and they will be a laughing stock

If the Bengals do "lay down", I'll be surprised. For one thing Chad is making much of his matchup w/ Revis. I think it will be a pride thing for him to personally beat Revis. He's been talking and tweeting about it all week and I'm sure as excited he is about it, he'll want to show him up.

For another, Marvin Lewis is now on record as saying they will definitely not lay down. Yahoo Sports reported on it and it's linked on this site. He basically said the bengals aren't mature enough of a team to be able to turn it on and off and plans to wi this game, taking momentum into the playoffs. I don't think he's as concerned about who they face, he just wants to finish strong and keep his very young team focused on winning every game they can.

It makes sense when you think about it. You don't want to instill a "lay off the competition" value in your young team, you want to foster a killer instinct that doesn't quit until the game is won. remember, Lewis is Pittsburgh guy that came up through the Steelers coaching staff, so he's got that Stiller mentality in him. Let's hope this does actually translate on the field and we get the help we need from Cinci and NE. I think those two coaches in particular are well suited to playing their teams hard. Caldwell, not so much.

Maybe you are right niagra. However, Chad can desire to compete against Revis all he wants but it would be moot if he (oucho) was on the bench. Carrying the same point forward, Lewis can instill in his players the desire to win all he wants, but he still may bench some starters in the 2nd half, esp in light of the Malauga injury. He would still expect the 2nd stringers to try to win and remain true to his philosophy

I just heard on NFL Network that Brandon marshall is OUT for the Broncos-Chiefs game! That's awesome news for us since it gives the chiefs a chance to pull off the upset and set us up for a possible 5th seeding. If the Broncos are out their top receiver, that will slow them down and the Chiefs can maybe keep up on offense between Cassel, Chambers, Bowe and Charles. Sure, the Chiefs suck, but they did beat us.

Not only that, but they also announced Bmore has Derrick Mason out for their game and Ed reed is practicing but has expressed some doubt as to whether he'll start. Things are seeming to start to take a Steelers bounce to make getting in a real possibility now. What a Happy New Year present it will be if things work out for us to get the 5 seed and face Cinci for a chance to bounce them out!

You are a mope !! Mason is not out and you forgot one important fact. The Ravens do not lose to teams with losing records. Enjoy watching us in the playoffs !!

Hey Raven fan..we OWN you.. the only thing that kept us from Sweeping you again this year and making it 5 straight over you tards is Ben was hurt and you faced Dixon. No Ed Reed means you LOSE Sunday. The OAK speedy WR's and McFadden/Fargas/Bush will score enough to beat you. The OAK pass D is stellar and they can cover your weak, slow, WR's one on one which means they can stack 8-in-the-box to stop Rice.

New England will beat HOU and OAK will beat BALT=Steelers in playoffs.

HA HA HA !! You are a funny little man. Your big mistake is you run your mouth but you have ZERO facts to back it up. Reed is playing he practiced this week. The Ravens under Harbaugh have NEVER lost to a team with a losing record. Too bad for you the Steelers can not say the same thing. Cle,Kc,Oak Chi !! Dont cry about Ben being hurt when we beat you, the fact is we beat you. Charlie Frye is going to beat the mighty Ravens ?? Come on son. The Pats will play Brady for a quarter and the Texans will win. BYE BYE steelers ! Then at 4:15 the Ravens will easily defeat the Raiders and next week you will be watching MY team in the playoffs!! Thanks for making it easy for me !!

Wy are you trolling on a Steelers board? Ravens have too many issues to make a deep run Reed or no Reed.
You asked with your eyes Trent, you asked with your eyes.
