If the BUNGLES fold to the JETS

Postby NJSteel27 » Mon Dec 28, 2009 9:23 am

If the Bungles fold up like a cheap lawnchair to the Jets, it only proves one thing:

THE BUNGLES ARE AFRAID OF THE STEELERS

How pathetic is that?
A division champion like the Bungles have to admit it to the entire world that they are AFRAID of the 3rd place team in their division.
HOW CAN THEY LIVE WITH THEMSELVES IF THEY DO THAT ???

If any Stiller fan thinks that Cincy will beat the Jetz, they must be DREAMING. Starvin' Marvin Lewis wants no part of the Stillers knowing Troy may be back, & he will sit every starter he can for the Jets game, even tho the gm's been moved to prime time. The Jets will get their SECOND X-mas gift in a row!!!

I been perusing the Bengals forums and reading local Bungal websites. I detect none of what you are saying. I don't think the Bungs are afraid of us and our swiss cheese defense at all. I gather from what they are saying that they actually fear the Texans more than us. They are also unanimously upset about the KC game and think they need to play hard against the Jets to be in proper shape for the playoffs. They also think that if in the event NE does lose they can improve their seeding. Now if NE does lose that hurts our chances, BUT, I doubt if NE wins the Bungs will change their pregame mentality

No, I think Marvin wants to win in prime time and not incur the Colts curse

Well you can bet your ass it is the case. Lewis already said he will decide Sunday evening weather to rest his starters or not. In other words if Cheatroits win, so will the jets. The only thing I can say then is I hope the Jets kill them the next week in chicitucky

But then again, the Steelers did it to themselves.

Or maybe Lewis will just think it is best to rest some of the starters. After the first two meetings, Troy P or no Troy P, I agree with PGH that there is no reason that the Bengals would fear the Steelers any more than any other team. And if they do, they ain't going far since they don't have any confidence in themselves.

LOL Come on. Are you fucking kidding me? Please tell me your are. We are not by any means scared of the finesse team that you have become. But the only way the Bengals go after this game is if the Patriots lose to the Texans, That is the only way we can take the three seed. So if the Patriots win, we have nothing to gain or lose with this game. Don't call a team scared of playing you that has 1) beat your ass twice & 2) has already taken care of their business when you have not. If the Squealers do not make the playoffs how about blaming your loss to the BROWNS  or the Chiefs  or your home loss to Oakland and not by saying the Bengals are scared of you and lost to the Jets on purpose so we wouldn't have to play you. Thats pathetic. I would be afraid of losing a couple more defensive starters in a meaningless game against the Jets. Thats what I'm afraid of. And to be honest, I would like to see both wild-cards go to the AFC North. One of the toughest divisions in football that never gets talked about. Here is hoping that the Patriots lose, and that the Bengals have something to actually play for, and if that happens I CAN GUARANTEE that we will be going after that game with everything. They would be dumb not to. It would mean the difference in a potential trip to San Diego over Indy(neither too desirable but San Diego is more vulnerable in my opinion).

You can talk all the shit that you want but if the Steelers do get in, they will be a tough out without question. But so will just about any other team we would draw. If the Texans win, you can rest easy knowing the Bengals will go after that game Sunday night. I would worry more about going to Miami and getting a win, but do know we are not scared of playing you a third time. If that would happen you wouldn't have Kimo Von FallIntoAKnee to save you.

There is no difference between having the 3 or 4 seed except in the Bengals case, they will know who they play in the wildcard game depending on the outcome of their game Sunday night.

Hey, JamesBrooks21: You write with lots of conjecture and happenstance, not to mention a wee bit of animosity that one of your former players (Chemotherapy Von Old Hofflin) ended your Bengals season a few years back. But, forgive me. Wasn't THAT a playoff game? Oh yes, it was........it was not a regular season game to which you are trying to juxtapose. We can all surmise what WOULD have happened, but, in actuality, the Steelers were a team of destiny that year. They were a number 6 seed, went into everyone's stadium and came out victorious.

Moreover, my initial posting was meant to stir up controversy, not act as a testimonial. Certainly, you cannot imagine all the hoopla the Cincy-Jets game is getting here in the NY/NJ media circus. the Jets-fags are talking as if they've already won the Super Bowl and, can you imagine, there's even a NY sportscaster that said this morning that the jets are a better team than the Bengals and would beat them even if they had Carson playing the whole game! Being a Steeler fan, do you know what that does to constantly hear that load of horsecrap?

If the Bengals are going to be a team that everyone holds in high esteem, they have to go out and beat the best. Not lie down with the B-team and hand the Jets a victory into the playoffs.
So, for the Bengals to get any props, they should want to see the Steelers in the playoffs and do like what we did to the Rat-birds last year- beat them all 3 times we faced them! THAT'S HOW YOU GET RESPECT. You DONT get respect by saying we already took care of business by beating you twice in the regular season. When was the last SUPER BOWL CHAMPION CROWNED IN THE REGULAR SEASON? ANSWER: NEVER........Its done so in the PLAYOFFS!!!

So, here's to hoping the Bengals whip the Jets, no matter what happens in the Patriots game.
I'm hoping for a Bengals win, a Patriots win......and a Raider win.
My ideal scenario would be the Steelers against the Colts.....in the championship game and beating them(again) in their house!
Good luck against the Jets.

I love how you guys are complaining.
If you guys wouldn't have laid a complete and total egg in the regular season, then you wouldn't be in this possision.
Coach Bill C. even said that the bengals deserve to be in the possition they are in right now and it is fine if they lay down agianst the Jets.
You guys sucked in regular season and don't deserve to make the playoffs, sorry about your luck. :sufu:

HOW CAN ANYONE TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY WHEN YOU CANNOT EVEN SPELL a 3rd GRADE LEVEL WORD?

For clarification, this is how you spell P O S I T I O N .

Now, go back and crawl under your rock, you mentally-challenged troll or, from the appearance of your spelling skills, go back to your Momma's titties and keep on sucking; perhaps there's some intelligence-boosting slime in that milk!

I posted this in the playoff scenario post...I have to agree with the person who started this thread, I really think the Bengals are going to lay down in this game. I think Lewis is on thin ice over there already, if he beats the Jets and everything else goes our way and we get in, and we beat the Bengals in the first round if that is the way it shakes out....his job is history.

Best case scenario, Cincy's starters play the first half and get a 17-20 pt lead that the Jets can't over come...

if its like 14-10 Cincy at halftime we maybe screwed.

Just my opinion which means nothing...LOL

I will say one thing that is in our favor the line I THINK opened at -10 we will have to see what it is on Sunday, if it drops dramatically then you know Cincy is benching there starters at some point. If the line goes down to like -6 then u know the agenda.

Dive for the Knees is completely right. I you can't beat Oakland, KC, & Cleveland (in a must-win gm), you deserve to sit. Honestly, I hope they don't make the playoffs so they have to chew on that taste in the offseason. Maybe they'll bounce back like they did after Cowher's 8-8 debacle.

One more thing how do these Bengal fans even come to this board and post?? Don't they realize what fools they are making out of themselves...but I guess when your a Bengal fan just making the playoffs is a Super Bowl victory in there eyes.

Let them have there laughs, they will all be fisting Ocho Cockblowers bunghole when they get knocked out in the first round and as a Steeler fan if we don't make the playoffs nothing would be sweeter than a Jets win this week and then Cincy having to play them right back and get beat by the Jets again...that would really shove it up Bungle Nations Asses!

True enough. Now that they lost Malauga - Lewis just may be done taking any chances on his starters
