Steelers signing Geezer Galloway!?!?!?

Postby PSUPERCY » Tue Dec 22, 2009 1:09 pm

After putting Sweed on IR they apparently are signing Galloway. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09356/1022801-100.stm

I live in New England. Saw Galloway a bit. Still very fast but no longer has the fast reflexes needed to be a top receiver. Maybe he can stretch the field. BR7 is more accurate on the long pass than Brady if you ask me.

Big Ben is one of the worst deep throwing QBs in the league. He is great at everything else. He has been underthrowing receivers since he was a rookie with that "bring rain" bomb he throws. I don't know why he doesn't correct this.

Brady has been hitting deep passes with regularity - take a look at a Brady-Moss highlight reel.

The problem with Ben's deep ball is he doesn't get it out on time.

The pass to Wallace for the TD should have been out of Ben's hands about 3-4 seconds earlier...then it would have hit Wallace in stride.

Ben needs to realize the best deep passes only go about 30 yards, not 50-60. Hit the man who's beat the deep safety in stride and let the WR do the work with RAC.

If Ben got the ball out even one second sooner, he'd probly have 2-3 more TD's this yr. I hope Kenny Anderson has mentioned this to him.

I never said Brady was inaccurate. I said Ben is even more accurate.

I've never seen a highlight reel of missed passes.

Galloway is a punk with a look-at-me attitude dating all the way back to his helmet-doffing days at Ohio State (in fact they passed the rule prohibiting helmet removal thanks to clowns like Galloway and Emmitt Smith).

He cannot help this team physically or teamwork-wise.

His signing is a desperation move and proof that the 'old ways' which combined success on the field and quality individuals off the field are being phased out despite the ample evidence that 'new ways' are misguided.

Another brain dead decision on Tomlin's part.
