505 YARDS FOR BEN

Postby NJSteel27 » Mon Dec 21, 2009 8:42 am

They say this is a record for QB's.
Were they referring to a Steeler QB record or NFL QB record?

Whichever, all that matters is the WIN!
In the face of pass-rushing D-linemen and LB's, Ben still had the courage to throw that ball to Wallace in the corner of the left end zone.

In a way, he's telling his O-linemen:

"Hey, big guys, just give me a crack and I'll stick it in there!"

I'm glad for him he could set some records, but I'd rather take one of our grind it out asskickings when ben would throw for 150 yards or less.

Steeler record, 3rd NFL QB to throw for over 500 in a single with no interceptions. I believe that's what I heard on NFL Network.

Sorry, but this is the kind of distraction that has been messing with his head all season. Fewer Casino Hostesses, more football !!

Ben played great yesterday, however that dosen't erase the fact that he stunk the 3 or 4 games before yesterday. I'm the one who axed if you had a fathead of ben. I guess I was right about that to.

Good to see Miller finally hit for 100 yds. Love the guy. Cheesy call on Mendy's TD and he still seems to get 1 or 2 hold per game YET we get squat for the muggings on Harrison. Woodson got away with putting a straight jacket on Ward or Holmes.

I'd hate for Ben to toss for 500 to get a win thought.

Touche', SCM. Should have been clearer on my point. which is... "It would not be a good thing to have to rely on 500 passing yds for us to win games." I think you probably knew that was my point.

Glad for the stats and the "W", don't get me wrong, BUT, (and here is where I'll get clobbered), I don't want to risk so much these next two weeks that we really screw ourselves for the draft. Some good "D" players that might be gone by 1st 12-18 picks.

I DO hope we get the opportunity to take out Balt. and keep them out of playoffs. If that is what's at stake, nail 'em.

Ok, the last few days have been fun - but WHOA EVERYONE!!

Lets remember that we broke a 5 game skid by one point in the last second. Those 500 yards meant that our D was on the field for 383.

We got the Rats Sunday and we got LOTS of problems unsolved. No way the RATS give Ben 500 yards
