SteelThatDon'tRust wrote:The players are throwing games b/c Rooney passionately supports Obama? Seriously? That's not a conservative or liberal conspiracy, that's just "i was abducted by aliens" retarded. If players are that affected by who management supports in the political arena, then they can go suck it. Most teams give big time to the Republican party. Does this mean democrat leaning players throw games in protest? Must be why the Chargers choke so much in the play offs. The liberal lion Philip Rivers must be sticking it to the ownership. Tool ass comments.
I did not say the players "threw the game".......... (That's a perspective from a friendly Browns fan I knew, who I don't necessarily agree with.) I do think some players lost total focus on the prize, which didn't really show up until the complacency toward the poorer teams....... Then as the losses accumulated, the effect snowballed.......
Where with past Steeler teams, if such a loss occurred, it became fuel for the next game, due to the total focus. This season, such fuel never seemed to come forth. Totally out of character.
What really bothers me about the Steelers isn't so much that they lost, but how they lost. I think the lack of disgust amongst the players, and the lack of urgency after losing the previous game, is another sign that the culture has become tainted. Instead of "This organization deserves better" like in the past, it's now "We lost again, but I really don't care."............
Whether it was the political escapade or something else, the behavior of the players suggests that something within the organization is no longer the same. And that's troubling.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

Call me nieve (sp?) but I just can't see these guys tossing a game with orders from above. I can certainly believe offensive performance was what it was because of Bruce, but not because of "orders".
Although, 2 things are sticking in my craw. Why is Miller being shut down all of the sudden? 1 catch in Oakland, 1 in KC, 1 or 2 in Cleve.? And more drops than catches lately? I have heard that literally "practice stops" in wonderment when he does have a drop in practice. Love this guy. Answers?
#2: Where has "no-huddle" gone? Why is it last 4 or 5 games we can't move ball yet early in year we scored with NH every damn time? I live in SC now, so you in the 'Burgh will have more feeling, info. Answers?
SCREW POLITICS! Rooney-Obama / Obama-Rooney. CAN ANYONE ANSWER THE ABOVE 2 ISSUES?
Where did Heath go? Where is the "No Huddle" machine that was putting points on the board and why has THAT been tossed into the circular file?

I thought the answers to those was obvious. ARIANS IS A MORON. After going no back on third and short for the first three series and giving up sacks on each one, why the fuck would you keep doing it? BECAUSE ARIANS IS A MORON! You would think Arians the Moron had the head injuries the way he calls plays!

Hey PigHeaven, someone posted political stuff on an earlier post in this thread (continuing series, if you didn't know that). I said "screw it", I was looking for answers to a few areas, i.e.; where was Heath and where was the no-huddle. I think we all know (except you probably) where the answers were: Ass "The Blood Clot" Arians has to go.
are we typing too fast for you?

Re: Different Perspectives on the Meltdown............
I wonder how many people were thinking the "Obama-fest" had "destroyed the team's passion" when they were at 6-2 after five straight wins including back-to-backers against Minnesota and Denver.
You guys are pathetic in your stupidity.
