Face it Folks!
The Steelers are NOT going to fire Bruce Arians and Dick Leblow. The only way the Dick will leave is when he retires (which hopefully is at the end of the year), and Ben is in love with Bruce too much for him to be fired. The Stillers have a plethora of talent on offense and should be lighting up the scoreboard to the tune of 30-35 points per game. The Steelers are not good enough to run the table and even if they did, they don't deserve to make the playoffs. Yes, the Dick cannot catch the ball for the cornerbacks, but his softee, pansy defense is unacceptable. Bruce Gradkowski, 88 yards in less then 2 minutes? What a joke.

in a way i hope we go 6-10, because it increases our chances of SOMEBODY getting fired
firing arians or lebeau might be a step in the right direction for this team in the long term

A team that has had 3 coaches in 35 years is not going to fire Tomlin, especially after winning the SB in just his second year. However, I think Tomlin is a bad in-game coach

you guys are unbelieveable...last season everyone drooled over how great our D was and how much of a god LeBeau was and how he should be in the HOF. Now this year he should be fired because of a bad season.
I agree on the arians firing but lebeau? Are you serious? And Tomlin? Aint gonna happen!!

The defense's inability to stop three long drives (two starting from Oak's 15 and 12) is fucking as bad as it gets. I'd agree not calling more blitzes or stunts (as worked fairly well early in the game) on those 4th qtr drives can be put on the coaches -- tooconservative. Hell, having our LBs drop back into an under zone didn't make a bit of difference on those 15+ yard completions. But Gay and Taylor not making plays on the ball and not even in position on many plays to make a play on the ball -- that's unfreakingbelievable! And the dropped easy interception! They have to be aggressive and make a play! Maybe Tomlin needed to call a timeout during Oak's last drive and channel Bill Cowher's anger and get his unit focused to make a play -- he and Lebeau need to do something to get the secondary to be agressive and complete the whole play from snap to whistle.
And the offense is problem too. I'd say the turning point in the game was the 3rd and 6 on Oak's 25 -- Ben takes a 9 yard sack! Ben hasn't learned to throw the ball away yet! The coaches should have Ben spend 10 minutes of every practice throwing the ball away. That sack put the Steelers out of FG range. But then Tomlin makes one of his worst ingame coaching decisions by having skippy try a 53 yarder. Coach he cannot kickoff more than 60 yards and that is with a running start.
Unfocused coaching, unfocused playing on both Defense and Offense. Terrible loss to be shared by all.

Re: Face it Folks!
The problems with this year go all the way back to the draft, training camp, cuts, etc. Going into the offseason, our number one priority was supposedly to sign Mcfadden. We didn't. In fact, we signed no one in the secondary that has made an impact. The way the NFL works is everyone in the league studied how the Cardinals made the comeback in the Super Bowl against us and tries to run those plays. Our safeties (Clark, Carter, Mundy) cannot cover and have limited mobility. One corner is still young, the other cannot catch, and we have no one in the secondary that makes plays other than Troy. We have thus become reliant on pressure which we are not getting consistently. Camp cupcake strikes again.
On offense, everyone knew we needed an upgrade to the O-Line. We drafted one guy high (3rd round) and he sucks. This meant we had to go with what little we had. We lost our starting RG and have a mediocre at best line. This is particularly true on run blocking. Add to that a system which has no flow and no coaching designed to perfect getting thrid and one or third and two and you have major issues. Anyone watch Texas on Saturday night -- that is the type of offense we are running. Against a decent defense, there is no flow because no consistent power running can occur.
Add to all of this the worst special teams of the last three decades (and we were supposed to be upgrading them with Sepulveda and Logan) and you have a bad team. On this front, cutting a special teams captain before the season obviously hurt royally. Not playing the rookies you kept in his stead makes little sense. And can anyone understand what they have been doing with Redman on the PS.
Overall, you have a coach that sat back and tried to treat the champs like men and found the team cannot handle it. There should be hell to pay in training camp next year.
