Gay is inadequate out there.
Clark's good for a big hit a game, but also for being out of position two or three times and whiffing on his safety fills.
Carter's is solid but slow.
And Taylor got beat too many times tonight.

Troy's the best we have, but he's seems to be injured the last several years. Can't count on that.

Ike Taylor is really proving ineffective more times than we'd like. And same with Townsend.

Gay needs to ride the bench. Clark isn't consistent. We rely on Troy too much. We're gonna have to address the DB situation quickly. I'd say the stopgap would be put Deshea back in the starter role. Maybe Ivy learns enough to play nickel corner. They have to weigh their options to try, and stop the bleeding.

now that all is lost, start splitting time with smokin´joe. whatever happened to him..seemed he made more plays on the ball in limited action this preseason. not going to fix this season...granted. if we lose another game, it´s seriously time to start evaluating talent and rebuilding. we are not immune to the natural order of things in the nfl. basically same team for 5 years... it´s starting to show

Will.I.Am Gay is about as effective play corner as Arians is to coaching offenses. He as absolutely WORTHLESS! What the fuck does the coaching staff see in this ass clown that keep them marching his dumbass out there every game? Seriously, I think it's time to start really worrying about our coaching staff. What I can't understand is the Steelers drafted two defensive backs Burnett and Lewis who seem to have some promise, but they keep playing Gay a completely inaffective asswipe. Maybe these two guys are not the answer but could they be any worse than Gay? At least lets find out what they can do on gameday!

If Burnett and Lewis's KO coverage displays are anything to go by they can't tackle either.

I know Lewis was judged tackle shy out of College.

Hell, but if he can cover, put him in, if the coverage is great he won't have to tackle much anyways!

That's why G@y is looking like a poor tackler, because his receiver is always open, so he winds up having a load of tackling to do.
