Hmmm. blogs must always be taken with a grain or 2 of salt. But that does fit Ben's profile. I say what the hell, start DD and Ben can be backup. Kemo is out Troy is out - It is time to find out what these other guys are made of

Why is it that Farrior never gets hurt? Is that because he artfully avoids being in the area of the ficking ball most of the time?

If that's true, it would be a mistake to start Dixon, imo. If The Steelers were 2-8 or 3-7 at this point, I would be all for it. However, when you are in The AFC Wildcard hunt by the slimest of margins, your don't want your backup QB to be,(essentially), an unproven, untested rookie, who has played 0 minutes of meaningful NFL football. It looks like someone in The Steeler Organization agrees with this. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09331/10 ... eelers.xml

According to the article posted at NFL.com Ben practiced well all week and THE TEAM had every indication he was going to play. Now with like 48 hrs till game time he says...'I think I will sit this one out'?? I mean I understand his reticent to play given the history of his melon, but as a TEAM member perhaps, just perhaps he could have said, 'hey my pussy hurts' a little bit earlier in the week to give THE TEAM time to prepare. I don't mind his caution, I just think he is a big dope for dropping this news at the end of the week! It is not about one guy, it is about the TEAM.

Let the insults fly, I can take it.

The Post Gazette reported that Ben won't play. Looks like Bruce had better call alot of runs. Dixon has a ton of speed, allow him the green light to run like hell. It's time for the whole team to step up and play Steelers football, and not the lame ass football we watched the last two weeks.
Bruce Arians: Proudly carried the Honor of Short Bus All-Star 2007-2011. Good job, and glad you're gone Dumbfuck!!!!!

No insults from me. I agree completely. Ben is enigmatic in that he plays with abandon and toughness yet when he gets dinged he whimpers whines and waffles, often telling the press different things than he tells the coach.

I say this. I hope DD plays like a madman and shames Ben out of his lethargic complacent funk

F____ing A right. Roethlisberger, you MFer. Puss out on Tuesday, not Friday. Now the Team has a second year 3rd stinger, who probably up until Friday has taken little or no snaps with the 1st team, starting on one's day practice with the first team. Arians won't know what to do with Dixon. This is a playoff game. Keep you mouth shut and play the f__king game, Ben. Many of us would have given everything we had (and did) to play football at the NFL level. Play ball!

I love the way if you don't agree with MendenHaulin he always has a classic, never go out of style remark like 'there is no debate about this', or 'if you don't like it go be a Bengals fan', or 'oh yeah?' Go ahead and drink that kool-aid pal, but not me. I have been a fan of the Steelers longer than you have been alive. This is not a great TEAM. This team may have great players, but smart people know that it takes more than talent to win, and just because you state the truth about this does not mean you are not a true fan. In the words of one of my all time favorite actors...'Sell crazy somewhere else, we are all full up here! :suahhbs:
