kurtostill - Very intelligent post. Agree whole-heartedly about Lebeau. The 'D' has been carrying this team for years and now we have the tools to be a dynamic offense, but Arians is standing in the way like a big hairy roadblock!

A Big Hairy Roadblock is perhaps the best description of Bruce Arians I've ever heard - Brilliant! I hate to say it but firing him is really the only option if the Stillers want to continue to be a championship caliber team. Like you said, we have the tools to be a dynamic and I would say elite level offense. We just can't count on Arians getting lucky every 4 or 5 games (or Ben bailing him out with his no-huddle/Houdini act) and expect to win consistently. Mike T, are you paying attention?!?

Again, I fully agree. Stiller defenses under Dick LeBeau have indeed carried this team for many years. He consistently has his teams prepared, hungry and rated among the best defenses in the NFL (if not the best). I have to admit though, the way he is deified by absolutely moronic commentators gets really old. That of course isn’t his fault; he’s just good at what he does. He also seems like a truly decent human being, which is a refreshing departure from that other highly touted coaching genius, Bill Belichick.
That's a whole other tangent though.
