A THOUGHT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN

Postby 1fourdathumb » Sun Nov 15, 2009 8:38 pm

LET JEFF REED KICK FIELD GOALS AND HAVE SEPULVEDA DO KICK OFFS. REED IS ABSOLUTLEY USLESS WHEN IT COMES TO TACKLING. IT SHOULD NEVER COME TO HIM AS THE LAST RESORT BUT C'MON MAN SHOW A LITTLE EFFORT. SEPULVEDA AT LEAST LOOKS LIKE HE KNOWS HOW TO TACKLE. AT LEAST TRIP THE GUY LIKE YOU DID A FEW YEARS AGO.

Maybe Tomlin should offer Reed a six pack for every tackle he makes. He'd be head hunting

Screw the tackling, I would just like to have a kicker that can consistently get it to the goal line instead of opponents catching the ball on the run at the 10.

pretty sad when we have to rely on our kicker to make a ST tackle in the first place.

however i think in our case with our ST sucking donkey balls, we could use an 11th tackler, and sepulveda is good at that

Tell Reed to envision the runner as a paper towel dispenser.

Maybe Reed needs to be able to put his kicks in the end zone. I just watched the first half of Pats-Colts and every kick was at least 2 yards deep in the end zone. Maybe we're getting all the runbacks on us because skippy can't get it past the 10

Interestingly he used to be able to do that. When he was new with the team, that is. This is a familiar pattern with all of our kickers. Which only points to one thing. Coaching!

The fact we have to talk about how the kicker should kick the ball is sad. With decent kick coverage, this shouldn't even be an issue. There is something fundamentally wrong with our kick coverage, yet the coaches seem unable to rectify the problem. We really need to get a new ST coach not next season, but right now. (Marty Schittenheimer might be an awful head coach, but his teams were always solid on special teams.)
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.
