I have no doubt their husbands would step aside to make room for your super "swimmers."
Husbands? Damn. So much for that idea.
Did you see that Amanda Beard dissed your boy Phelps?

(gasp) Skank! Just kidding, of course. I just found an article on Hollyscoop.com which states, "Does she think that apology is gonna make things better? She probably already hurt his feelings. Hey, she even hurt ours! Then again, why should Michael be hurting, he's reportedly dating a much HOTTER model than Amanda!" Bwah!

taekwondo controversy that NBC hasn't covered much.
How ironic that the governing body is refered to as WTF.

Wow, I hope I never run into a taekwondo guy in a dark alley.
I hate the politics involved in some of the Olympic sports. Gymnastics is one of them. Apparently, some, if not all, of the gymnasts on the Chinese women's gymnastics team were under the age of 16, which is against the rules. Sixteen years of age is the minimum age to compete in the Olympics, not the maximum. Bela Karolyi mentioned it during NBC's coverage of women's gymnastics, stating that many of the Chinese gymnasts were only 13-14 years old. Bob Costas immediately stopped Bela from commenting further, probably since they are in a Communist country and want to get out of their with their heads still attached to their shoulders.
Figure skating is another sport where politics used to play a big hand in determining the outcome, although it isn't as prevalent anymore.

Dark side to the games that NBS isn't reporting.
http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/summer08/news/story?id=3551187
8 American protesters held along with 2 others.

I can't believe the Olympics are over already. Those three weeks sure went fast. The good 'ol USA topped the overall medal count with 110, China has 100, and Russian has 72. Congrats to all our athletes. They represented us well.
Now if we can just get our eight protesters released and out of there.

According to CNNSI, Jamican runners recieved performance enhancing drug shipment.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/more/09/02/jamaican.track/index.html
Was anyone else just kind of waiting for this shoe to drop, and cast a huge shadow all over the games?

Unless it's Insane Bolt, though, it's not a big enough shadow. Still... coincidental???? Kinda makes you wonder...

No big surprise to me when I heard about it either, Hammer.
Oh, and FYI: Misty May-Treanor will be competing in the next season of Dancing With The Stars (9/22/08 @ 8:00 PM). Just, ya know, in case you're interested in seeing her wearing some skimpy dance costumes.

Oh Mr. Steel Hammer, duuuude! You better have tracked down and said "Hi" to and maybe got an autograph from my loverboy, Michael Phelps, for me while both you and he were at the Steelers/Browns game last night. I'm sure you did that for your Steelers' sister, right?

I tried.
Phelps was 5 feet from me.
My seat was right by the Browns team tunnel, and he went right in it. Gave some high 5's but missed me.
Gotta break it to you though: there was some nice looking young woman with him.

As long as she's hawter than that skank, Amanda Beard, I'm alright with that.
And who says I'm not a nice looking woman? *slaps Hammer upside the head and runs*

No need to run, I'd never hit a woman. And you woudn't be the first to have slapped me.
