The latest MMAWeekly World MMA Rankings were released on Wednesday, August 13. This system ranks the Top 10 MMA fighters from all across the world in each of the six most widely accepted weight classes.
Taken into consideration are a fighter’s performance in addition to his win-loss record, head-to-head and common opponents, difficulty of opponents, and numerous other factors in what is the most comprehensive rankings system in the sport.
Fighters who are currently serving drug-related suspensions are not eligible for Top 10 consideration until they have fought one time after the completion of their suspension.

Re: MMA Rankings
I would REALLY like to see a B.J. Penn / George St. Pierre fight.
Pound for pound, they both will go down as two of the best MMA/UFC fighters. They're already recognized as such.

Re: MMA Rankings
I don't see how Penn can beat St. Pierre at this point in their careers, though, and I am a big Penn fan.

I don't see it as possible either, Nel.
I figure it'd at least be a good fight. St. Pierre is just at his pique and steamrolling.

Sorry, I'm just not sold on him - anyone who Matt Serra can beat is still a big question mark to me.

What's most important in that is, they fought again a little over a year later and St. Pierre won.
Let's also consider the fact that St. Pierre over the last 3 years or so has beaten:
Sean Sherk
B.J. Penn
Matt Hughes (twice)
Josh Koscheck
Jon Fitch
Those aren't 'gimme' fights by any means.
I can appreciate your argument, steelhammer. I just disagree with it.
