Again, I would expect nothing less than an articulate and succinct synopsis of the Stillers, their opponents in the AFC North esp. the Bungals and their #1 idiot mascot loudmouth "Mucho Stinko". I wonder how much time it took you to comb through the records to support Carson's q.b. rating related to the run game, excellent comparison. It will be interesting to see how the playoffs develop this year with the N.F.C.

great article and so right on except for one thing.
you underestimate the value of james farrior on this team.
he is the team leader and rolemodel for the younger players. also has been a consumate player anchoring our defense on and off the field.

Re: New Article: Bye Week Beat
Well considering the Stillers are only batting about .500 following a bye week over the last decade, I've resigned myself to not have huge expectations... even though you'd think the team coming off extra rest and prep time should have a huge advantage. One thing about next two weeks make me happy though.
As much as I hate the ratbirds, I like that they play hard defense and try to physically dominate opponents. You can usually count on a team being at least a bit bruised up and battered after playing BAL. PIT comes off their bye week to play a previously unbeaten Broncos... unbeaten until they were beaten (on the scoreboard AND the physical aspect) just a week ago. So on top of the rest and prep time which we seem to waste on a regular basis, we get the added advantage of letting Baltimore soften up our opponent a bit before we have to play in Denver. The cherry on top? While we play the Dildos this coming week, Baltimore continues to soften up our opponents by beating on the Bungles who we get the following week.
Let's all be Ravens fans for a week and hope for a big beat-down of the BenGays. Back to back CIN losses within the Division would help us out a lot and put us in the Drivers seat. Don't want to go overboard with the Gayvens well-wishing though. Regardless of the standings, BAL is still only one game back and are MUCH more worrisome than the Division leading Bengals who should be about due for an implosion anyway.
