With the exception of that fumble he looked solid against one of the best rush D's in the league. I still think he should have gotten more carries

6.9 yp is way more than solid. he looked great!

6.9 a tot against top teir team.
double it against bengals.
13.8. 10 carries-140 and 2 td.

3x against the brown trouts:

21 a pop. 20 carries. 400 yards. 5 AP TD's.

I have yet to see any other RB but Mendy move a pile this year AND last. I love Willie and his speed, but the dude bounces backward off of defenders. His speed isn't getting him around the outside fast enough this year without some key blocks. Willie just gives us too many negative plays. Although I'm sure it makes it harder for him when we're so freakin predictable on Offense. Moore needs more PT for me to see if he could really be a 1st string threat, although he does have great backup skills.

Ever since Bettis retired, we've been missing that guy that can pick up 1-2 yards just by falling forward. I believe Mendy could be that guy.

This past game, I was really impressed with our O-line. I already noticed that their pass defense is much better this year and now it looks like they've improved their run D. I see good things to come with the running game if the O line continues to improve and Mendy is left in to develop (pending improvement on his ball-handling skills).

I agree that if he was given a proper reaming by the coaches and stuck back in, he would have made DARN sure he held onto that ball. To me, I thought I saw him mouth that he thought he was down. I thought that was why he was confused.

Did anyone else notice the ball handling of some other players? I think I saw Holmes just swinging his arm wide with the ball in it a few times. Maybe they ALL need a few drills on the ball-handling basics...

Look where Plax is now.

Means nothing. Did Mendy make a mistake? Yes. Is he the best RB on the team? Yes. Should you shut your dogball face? Yes.
