Trai Essex
This upcoming game is going to boil down to the way in the trenches.
And Trai Essex is the one X-factor on that offensive line that i'm looking at.
What he and Kemoueatu can do against the viking's 4 man front is the key to this game.
Kemo is someone whose proven more consistent in the past. I mean yeah he's had his fair share of missed block assignments and spoofs, but not nearly as many as Essex.
If Trai steps up this game like he did against Cleveland, we've got a strong chance at getting the running game going like the ravens did.
STEP IT UP TRAI!

Re: Trai Essex
Unfortunately, it seems the only way we "establish" a run game is if we "establish" a new Offensive Coordinator. As long as we win, I'm happy. But I just long for the more physical, pound the rock style of offense.
Mendy finishes with 69 yards on 10 carries (thats a 6.9 yards per carry average). Moore only had 4 carries for 14 yards. It is one thing if they are shutting us down, but they weren't. Again Arians shut down the run game.
A win is a win, we still need to improve to win against a very determined and scrappy Broncos team at Mile High!

Re: Trai Essex
Trai is the reason why we run right more this year. He can seal the inside, while Kemo pulls around. Overall, I'm very pleased with our O-line play. The problem is that BA will not commit to the run, even when we're having success. He wants to pass and run his cutsey little end-arounds, quick screen passes to the slot, etc. Rashard can easily handle 20-30 touches per game, but it's never going to happen. No pounding the rock as long as BA is at the healm.
