Glad the Vikes won.

Postby lloydgreene » Sun Oct 18, 2009 11:31 pm

Ravens are a game behind us now, and we are tied with the Bungles.

I am glad that we get to face an undefeated Vikes team next week because we might play up to the level of competition. We certainly showed we can play down to inferior competition this year.

Bring on the painkillers, I mean vicadins... I mean Vikings!

my hope for that game is troy is playing at full speed and not the half speed we saw today fumble willie should be sitting next to peed on the bench after his performance

hope we can run the ball more the we did today the dikes o is pretty balanced

two things since we have the vikes coming up :

1.) is it too late to trade willie parker? someone might still bite.

i am one of those people that has been screaming that 'parker is not-really-all-that-fast trash'. sure, he has been known to pop some big runs, but he is really nothing more than an RB version of randle el. i trust mendenhall. i don't trust parker. I trust moore. nope. still don't trust parker. 24-48 hours to trading deadline. upgrade with him while you can. what would you try to get with willie?

2.) a.p. blew up. again. against the vaunted ravens D.

is smith out now a huge concern for you as it is me? hey lebeau, put ziggy in there. tell him his only goal on every play is to stop a.p. when he gets the ball. i like hood and think he can be more than serviceable. maybe he can be a DL version of big ben. let 'em play. too much bench-rotting going on. time for big snack and bite size. word be born.

Vikes win was great for Stillers since it hurts the Crows record AND it avoids Minny coming in here ticked because they blew a huge lead. Minny ain't gonna win em all. I just wish the gm was in prime-time, where we always shine.

I think we will need both of our RB's this year to advance. I think Willie will be a contributor this year.
Smith being out does give me more grief than anything. He was stout. I agree that sometimes these things are a blessing in disguise... as Big Ben showed.

Hey, we do agree on some things, HereWeGo! wow!

Wonder what name PGHEAVEN is going to call me for this post...

the crack on willie... well... i really want to see mendy take the starter's reigns sooner rather than later. i was glad to hear he is getting the start against the vikes. that said, i'm not sure anyone screamed any louder than me when willie popped that run in the super bowl. i still think he has that 'home run' ability. can't wait to see it again. i just think that moore will contribute 'more' to the offense than willie throughout the duration of the season, assuming mendy stays healthy. moore has decent speed. willie is fast. moore can block and catch well. willie... is fast. (the jury is still out on that one too.) no matter what anyone says: had it not been for moore's play last year, the steelers do not get to the super bowl, much less win it. having willie's burst to compliment *that* is a great feeling. i'm sure cowboys fans would feel the same about barber/jones/choice if the three could stay healthy together.

smith being out is all sorts of 'it is what it is'. based on camp and pre-season, i think ziggy's got that raw punch and quickness that can make a difference at this level. let's see if he wants to help this team win. i think he does. i still think this would be a great game to put him in during run situations. let his intent be to tie up linemen (that's right. plural.) and/or stop adrian peterson. nothing more. i have a pretty good feeling he wouldn't screw that up.

Well considering the fact that since you said you were done with me, you have been unable to post with referring to me, how about
