Hines Ward leads NFL in receiving

Just couldn't help it. Let's see if the Mill will give Hines his just due after the Vikes matchup. I'm seeing a big game, and a big smile.
Hines Ward for President!

like mill's opinion is the end-all in steelers football commentary.
why are people here so obsessed with him and his 'critiques'? they're always filled with over-the-edge bias.
ward's performance speaks for itself. he doesn't need a nobody bum on an internet forum to validate what he did on the football field.

Wow. HereWeGo, well put. I guess people, myself included, come to this site to read Steeler commentary. You're right, I shouldn't care at all what the grumpy mill says.
Guess who for pres?

HOWEVER, I just realized that you and I are the only fans chiming in on this topic. Just proves my original gripe that Hinesy isn't getting his just desserts on this site. If that article was about how Harrison was leading the league in sacks, ffs, and so on, this thread would be a mile long.

Hines is starting to get some media attention. NFL Network this week w/ S. Wilcots and on the MortReport. However, I am not sure that I want him to start getting that attention. I would much rather he fly below the radar. Defenses are going to be too proud to roll coverage to ol' slow, overachieving, Hines. Extending Hines contract was the best offseason decision by front office.

Re: Hines Ward leads NFL in receiving
Mike Wallace and Heath Miller are the problem for the rest of the league and the biggest reasons Hines is having a monster year. Everyone knows that Hines is Ben's go-to-guy. But what's a defense to do when Ben has four legitimate downfield weapons at his disposal and one (Wallace) who will burn any DB in the league if he gets a step on 'em?
You just can't double up on Hines anymore. And with his veteran saavy, this is allowing him to find the soft spots. It's amazing how open that guy gets.

I agree with you about Hines. I disagree with you about Mill, but who cares? Agree to disagree. Done.

Hines is leading the NFL in two catagories: Catches and Yards
impressive.
I haven't broken down the numbers, but it does seem the Steelers are throwing more. (or at least it seems we are seeing more 3rd and longs).
I do think the dual deep threats of Homes and Wallace are opening up some underneath stuff for Ward (might be why Heath has been a factor this year also.)
