Going out on a limb. But I must say it.

Postby lloydgreene » Tue Oct 13, 2009 7:50 am

Next three weeks will tell us what we need to know.

Here is what I truly see happening for us.

Brownies: TP43 plays limited role, Parker sits. We move the Brownies around a good bit, win the line of scrimmage but win the game by less than 14. We always seem to play trash games like trash games.

Vikes- Adrian Peterson vs. (Insert Steelers Defense Nickname Here) the Unprovens? This is the game tha TP43 is turned loose. The defense shows up against the run and puts the ball in Favre's hands. Willie works his way into playing time and contributes. Favre's Legend takes a stumble Steelers win and go 5-2 for the year.

Bye Week- Two weeks to prepare for a PRIME TIME MONDAY NIGHT game against the Broncos.

Broncos- Two weeks to prepare, one week spent on fundamentals and technique, one week spent on game plan. We get up to mile high and break the broncos in the spotlight of MNF.

6-2 after 8 games with only the Ravens (twice), Green Bay and Bengals as contenders in the second half of the year. I really like our chances.

This, as always, is simply my opinion and outlook on a season that is not as bad as many would have you believe. Disagree as you will, but please keep the personal insults to yourselves. This board doesn't need them. In 3 weeks if I am wrong, I will eat my crow. If I am right, I will be extremely happy.

thats a likely scenario imo. vikings are tough but i don't think they beat us at our house.

broncos are overrated and been relying on luck for long enough. that will eventually run out, and the steelers always bring their game on MNF.

troy P back in the lineup should be huge for our defense. it's obvious as day right now how key he is in the defense

Here is my fear: Troy was hurt 2 yrs ago, & played like it. He does not play well thru pain - not an insult, just a fact. I see absolutely no sense playing him til the bye week. They will not, however, beat Minn w/o him - Peterson will have a field day. The worst scenario is to have Troy come back too soon - & have them lose to Minny anyway. Sit him out til he is FULLY healthy. What sense does it make to have a brace on him all yr & have him playing half-assed?

Is there anything you DONT comment on? If you pump out dozens of new subjects you are going to have to expect some heat and some insults along the way. We dont need you telling us what the board does or does not need

Steelers go undefeated the rest of the season and win the Super Bowl! There, I've said it. If you don't like it keep it to yourself!

Ummm, actually, I'll be VERY surprised if we beat the Vikings or the Broncos. Exactly what has our defense shown you that would make you think otherwise???? Yeah, we get Troy back, but after losing Aaron Smith I think we'll have a harder time shutting down the run. Especially against the best running back in football, Adrian Peterson.

You're right! I should post my opinions on a bulletin board or something! Oh wait! I did! I seemed to have forgotten that I need to get my posts pre-approved by the self-appointed (albeit well-deserved) censor of this board.

You're approved. Oh you weren't talking about me? I was thinking, which is always scarey. I should be content Czar. Nah. I really don't give a crap. I can still choose what I read though.
