Everyone wants to extapulate a season's record after one game. When we win, we are gonig to repeat as champions, when we lose we won't even make the playoffs.

I am extremely aggrevated and disappointed at the way we lost the last two games. It is a long season and we have the people we need to right the ship. Unfortunately we also have the people who can sink it (Arians).

I was ripped for saying this last week, so I will see how it plays this week. We are in too many close games because we allow our opponents time to stay in it. We lost this game with 14 seconds left. Had we been able to convert a few first downs and eat the clock a bit running it effectively in the second half, we might have had a different outcome. Arians began our second half throwing the ball... and throwing the ball and throwing the interception that gave them 7 points. We lost by 3.

Again, I say if you want to win consistently you have to be effective on the ground on offense.

We will be in the playoffs, we will not lose to the Ravens, we will beat the Bengals in our place, we will not lose to the Browns. Our schedule gives us a nice chance to be in the hunt when this thing is said and done. Its just whether or not our coaches will do the same. (ARIANS) (TOMLIN- I blame him for Arians)

I agree with that. I remember the 70's Stillers struggling & dropping 4 of their first 4 games after comng off a S.B. win and they had to settle down to regain their identity.

Mathematically speaking and it goes back to the old addage "on any given Sunday, yada yada yada" we were due a loss to the Bungals as they did not play us at our level-we beat ourselves in this game.

They just need to correct the problems so we can go back to our winning ways.

i wish i could share your optimism fellas, but losing a game in this manner not once, but twice, in two weeks, there's really nothing positive i can think of, other than wallace looks like he'll be a big time player in the making

While I agree, it's a long season and anything can and usually does happen, there are some major flaws showing up on the team. Unless we fix them and fix them quickly, this is going to be a LONG season.

I grew up in Johnstown and remember watching the Sunday evening news after a 3pt win against a struggling Cincy team. The way it was covered, you would have thought we lost, because we didn't win by enough. And that was just the news anchors.

Wrong! We will NOT be in the playoffs unless some things change. If you extrapolate our season based on our play thus far we are 6-10 and 6-10 we will be unless we CHANGE some things. However, we CANNOT change the fact that James Farrior and our D line are about over the hill and that we are weak at CB and safety

the fact of the matter is who cares if we make the play offs because we have a weak schedule i dont want to get our asses handed to us in the playoffs by a better team we have all the tools to be a power house but a OC that doesnt know how to put together a easy puzzle

Is the defense so dependent on ONE player that it disintegrates in his absence?
The DC should take note that Harrison will be held on every snap (and the zebras will not call it) and adjust accordingly.
Why not play Ratliff at CB instead of Gay until he learns not to give 10-12 yard cushions.
Why kick a FG on 4th-and-1 at the CIN 1 and then turn around and go on 4th-and-4 from the CIN 40? Is Tomlin channeling FGB? Has someone stolen his fire?
Wouldn't one think that a QB with 3 TDs and 4 INTs (1 pick-six) would be working on how to correct that instead of making arrangements to appear on fake rasslin'?
Why would the FO re-sign a RB who can't block when there is a RB on the practice
squad just looking to prove his worth (who also scores with regularity in short yardage)?
One wonders if the GM wishes he had drafted a decent OL or two instead of Willie Reid, Ricardo Colclough, Bruce Davis or Fred Gibson. Is he about to go bust on his 1st and 2nd from the '08 draft?

Why not play Ratliff at CB instead of Gay until he learns not to give 10-12 yard cushions.

I'm not picking on you dude, but Gay "learned" to give the 12 yard cushion from his DC. That is part of the "scheme." If Ratliff was in, he would be required to give the same cushion. It's against the rules (sic) to play press coverage when the opposing team runs a dink and dunk offense.

We lost two games against inferior teams allowing them to win it on long drives in the 4th quarter. The team lacks focus and direction and there is no indication this will change in the games ahead. Playoffs will not be possible but the team seems to believe they can coast in with our easy schedule. The only person to blame is Mike Tomlin. He allows the BA to fucking things up and sits and watches Dick give games away. Stop bitching about the OC and DC when the head coach allows this to continue.

I could not agree more. Even Mike Tomlin has stated that the responsibility for all decisions ultimately rests on his shoulders.
