In 10 weeks we will have forgotten about 1-2.
AS I have said, I am as disappointed as anyone at how we start out the season. But I always force myself to see big picture from week to week. Here is why I am not ready to concede the season to anyone else and still believe our Super Bowl chances are as good as anyone.
Division Title:
We have a lot of guys with heart on our team. WE play in Prime Time next week at Home against a Contender. (Prime Time, Home, Contender). WE will step up and light them up. Fear of 1-3 is not the issue. Reclaiming our respect will be. I fully expect us to knock San Diego around next weekend. Not to mention that we will already know the outcome of the Ravens- Patriots matchup.
It is likely that the Pats beat the Ravens. I would not be surprised if the Ravens win, but I am thinking at home the PAtriots pull it out. So after we play next week, we will be 2-2 and the RAvens 3-1. We would be one game back with two game to play them straight up. I still like our chances.
Besides the Ravens, I fear no one on our schedule except us. If we get back to form, I expect us to put on an 8 or 9 game win streak. If we do not get it together, then these losses won't matter anyway. Our season will be lost if we lose to the opponents on our schedule.
In other words, you end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it types, we should be 3 and o. We could be 0 and 3 just as easy. We are a championship team who gave 2 away. I believe our bell has been rung and we will make a statement next weekend.

Hope you're right. I think we can beat the Chargers, Bengals, Bears, or whoever else we play. The question is, can we stop beating ourselves? Between the coaches crappy calls, missed FGs, dropped TDs, etc., Big Ben and Ward are THE only reliable players week-in, week-out. I admire the way Ben stands up for his teammates who let him down (O-line, WRs, etc), but I think that in the locker room, he needs to lay into his team and let him know that it's definitely time to put up or shut up. I think Arians should be included on the receiving end of Ben's rant.

Have you read your post yet? If so then I will tell you that the vomit is indeed from your post and not last nights hamburger. What a futile exercise in blind hope and misguided fan loyalty. Every sentence of that post is rooted in wrongeheaded thinking. Hope blows. Hard work and brutal self assesment does not
The bullshit factor of your post puts the onus for our success in the hands of THE PATRIOTS BEATING THE RATBIRDS? EASILY BEATING THE CHARGERS?
Wake up fool. We need to win one game at a time and to do that the Stillers must fix a multitude of problems.

How the frig are we gonna beat the Chargers w/ that O when we couldn't finish off da Bears or Cincy? There is no doubt they are going to be 1-3 after this weekend because SD knows they owe us, & the only thing that could save a Wildcard is going to be Balty losing 2 of the next 3 (vs NE, Cincy, Minn) & us pulling out 2 vs the Clowns & Lions.
Lets hope they're 4-3 at the bye & can jumpstart the 2nd half of the season vs the likes of Denver, KC, & Oakland.

we will win this game, but im still unhappy about dropping the past 2 games in the manner that we did.
this team should be 3-0, really no excuses for a total team collapse in not 1 game, but 2
our previous super bowl hangover could have been attributed to ben having his motorcycle accident and appendectomy (2 offseason events that were possibly life threatening), but what's the excuse this time? We have almost all of our starting roster, same coaches, the kind of continuity past sb winners would kill for. Seriously what's the excuse this time? I was willing to give the team a pass over the chicago game, but to shit the bed against a division opponent, that's not good at all.

This weekends game will be yet another close run affair, won or as seems more commonplace, . . . lost in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter!
From what I've seen the Chargers are having trouble in the redzone too, christ it's gonna be fugly!!!
Chargers 20 Steelers 23
