Bum of the game goes to....

Postby blackngoldB » Sun Sep 27, 2009 7:12 pm

Tie between Sweed and Reed. If either would've scored on that drive, we at least go to OT.

Sweed, yes. But Big Ben for that pick 6. That was also the beginning of their comeback. Ben needs to learn to THROW THE BALL AWAY more.

limas sweed - this guy is officially a bum. yeah he gets open but maybe teams just aren't covering him, why bother if he doesn't catch anything

bruce arians - for not being able to fix the offensive struggles in the red zone by now. seriously this game should have been out of reach early in the game. and what's up with the chickenshit play calling with a 5 pt lead. willie up the middle twice for no gain / negative yardage? we might as well be kneeling the ball down every first two downs and passing 3rd down. we can say the defense lost us the game but our offense needs to start carrying their own weight. it's getting old to see our defense always have to bail out our group of underachievers known as our offense

lol goat on ben? im not even sure that pick was holmes fault. the coaching staff was yelling stuff at holmes (who had another pitiful performance). i mean its easy to blame ben and maybe it was his fault but either way there was definitely a miscommunication on the route ran.

limas sweed dropped the easiest td catch in history

and both coordinators completely shit the bed in the 4th quarter.

plus our D got no rush in the 4th quarter at all and that is starting to worry me. two weeks in a row the 4th quarter D was pathetic as can be

Don't get me wrong, I want Sweed gone. I was convinced of that last year. I gave him a second chance after he seemed to work hard off season and looked not bad in preseason, but Sweed needs to be gone, period. However, I give alot of blame on this loss to #7 and his stupid pick and the worst time.

its easy to say sweed, im fucking tired of his drops too.

And farrior, sure hes making tackles, but they are after completions. he was fucking awful the last drive when we needed him. Hes supposed to be in the best shape of his life, no one must have told father time that, because he looked old out there today.Hell the whole D did.

Every game Timmons plays in the commentators say how Tomlin calls Timmons a game changer. Well id like to see it.

The worst part is that you lose probably if not the best Defensive player then top 3 and you have to replace him with a worthless fucker that barely made the team. Carter been horrible for years and we havent done anything to fix it.

After all that im going with Ben. Pick-Sixes are killers. plain and simple.

Rivers is going to fucking slice us up next week.

Unless we fix our redzone issues, we aren't going anywhere this year. We punch those first 2 in the first half, even Sweed's drop or Ben's pick doesn't kill us.

i'll put the blame on the entire coaching staff. why?

biggest stat of the game: 4th quarter points, 0-14

as much as i hate to say it, the entire team had a meltdown and just gave up. there is no fire in this year's team, i guess another superbowl hangover and 8-8 season is coming our way.

to be fair, james harrison showed good hustle the entire game, but unfortunately we don't have 22 james harrisons

Tomlin for not punting at the end of the first half. We gave the Bengals a chance to get back in the game...... That FG was the difference.

We're doing just enough bad things to turn Ws into Ls.

Our biggest problem is offensive push. We had a few third and shorts but Ben still has to throw to convert them. And it's been killing us.
Whenever Tom Brady loses, it's always someone else's fault.

lol at people talking about ben for the pick six when im pretty sure the pick was more on holmes for running the wrong route.

how about the coaching staff for running willie in the 2nd half when it was obvious it wasnt working any more (especially the 4th quarter play calling on both O and D).

either way the biggest goat is sweed. if he catches the ball this ball game was over.

also it would be nice if the D could stop anybody in the 4th quarter. im sorry im not blaming our QB when we are up 20 to 9 in the 4th quarter and the defense gives up two long TD drives

pick sixes are a killer but someone give me proof it wasnt holmes running the wrong freakin route because it sure as hell looked it it to me (and being that the coaching staff ripped holmes im pretty sure that is the case).

also holmes had some more nice drops. holmes and sweed were the biggest goats on O and the entire D was a disrace in the 4th qtr again

With as pathetic as our running game has been, why is Redman on the practice squad. Bring him it and see what he can do. Can't be worse, right? Also, move Moore up. He atleast tries to gain extra yards.

Sweed, gotta be!

Where was the Wood, just 1 tackle again, he did bat down a pass, but that was pretty much it.

Timmo outside for Wood, Fox inside for Timmo, now please Dick!

Timmons is not an inside backer!! FGS!!!

And as for Arians!!! It's getting laughable!! :(

how about lamar woodley, after so much hype in his first 2 seasons, finished with 1 tackle and no sacks for the day. probably another zero and qb pressures and didn't do anything except get knocked on his ass all day. mill was right, he is the next jason gildong

Thats all well and good and holmes probably was running the wrong route. The problem is TWO bengals were running the route with him and Ben still threw it.

Its just a tough loss all around.

Fuck that. 5-11. If Troy carries us (which will fucking happen cause we decide to play close games then lose), maybe 10-6. We cannot lose more than 3 more games if we want to make the playoffs.

First of all, for those of you who said Ben your full of shit. That was Santonio's fault 100%. Farrior gets the bum of the game for sure. He had pathetic effort and angle on Leonard on the 4th and 10 play. And then like the overrated player he his, he was actually back pedaling in the endzone prior to getting beat (again) for the game winning td pass. I really hope Colbert signs this guy to another extension, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
