EXACTLY WHY WE MUST RUN THE FREAKING BALL
Big Ben gets bumped while throwing and tosses an INT. The defense just loads up on the pass rush cause they do not fear the run... or even consider it.

But besides that pass Ben is going Air Roethlisberger on their D. Actually were starting amazingly compared to last week. We need to pick up the run later on definately.
Re: EXACTLY WHY WE MUST RUN THE FREAKING BALL
You guys are both wrong in your analysis. We ran for 100+ yards and averaged 5.1 per carry. NO problem with our ground game tonight

We ran for 100+ yards on about 4 big carries (a huge one by Mendenhall) and a bunch of touches for losses and no gains. Your analysis is garbage.
Re: EXACTLY WHY WE MUST RUN THE FREAKING BALL
Moore should be the every down back, I've felt that way since he filled in last year. He has the been the only productive one we've had the last 2 years. Willy is done.

i agree, if they're gonna use the passing game more they need to start moore, who is 100 times better than parker in a passing offense. if they insist on using 2 backs, mendenhall would be a better option than parker

It seems that every commentator - and analyst professional and recreational alike states that we ran well. Anyone who says we didnt sucks and swallows

Re: EXACTLY WHY WE MUST RUN THE FREAKING BALL
You know, I've always thought running the ball was necessary, but after watching Monday night's Indianapolis-Miami matchup, I'm disgusted.
Miami racked up way more than 200 yards rushing and controlled the ball on offense for more than 3 quarters of action, yet still lost because Peyton Manning only needs 3 plays and 45 seconds to score. Why run when passing is that easy because of rule changes and talent level?
Obviously, Indy is an exception because it has the best QB in the game and the same elite offense in place for a decade. But still, it makes me sick how a team like the Fins totally kicked ass for an entire game only to lose to a bunch of finesse scheming. It just goes to show that it is pansy football these days and winning the physical battle usually doesn't matter. Then again, I guess if Miami would have at least played adequate defense, it would have held the passing game a little more in check.
Anyway, I saw a poster's rant in another topic about how the NFL isn't really football anymore, and I'm really starting to believe that as well.
Oh well, I'll always love the Stillers #1, but it's disheartening to see the way the game is played today.

I thought Miami's D was top 15-10ish? I never thought there Defensive backfield was good.. But with manning he can make Woodson,Dicky LeB (playing), Troy and Shell look like bums.
The only advantage we have- his only reciever is a little-known nig-narpian-french-fry (Dick Head Mother Fucker) named Limas "Mommy i Fucking Pissed The Bed" Sweed.
