I have no problem with the call, the Steelers were in the shotgun all night on 3rd and shorts. I do however question the ready on the play. There has to be somebody running a short route on a 3rd and 2 to pick up the easy 1st down.

We suck at 3rd & short because both his plays don't work: FWP blast into center of line, or the Holmes pattern to go for it all.

Miller is the BEST at clutch catches (I should say he rivals Ward!) yet never mind about the 1st down, let's get it all!
Arians is a screw-up and he is not interested in 1st downs or moving the chains. His first few drives were totally out of character for him.

Why? Because they worked and had some creativity to them. Then those plays go away. Did we use "No-Huddle" at all?Games are always the same: The 2nd half comes and he leaves his $%#@ brain in the locker room.
Miller disappears (not his fault), Mendy rides the pine (I love MeMo though!), and he does not use what we have or what worked in 1st half. 3rd &2 is a great time to try Wallace on short drag over the middle (aka Welker anyone?).

If Holmes was the only one open not a bad play.

However, if Ben bypassed another open receiver it was a bad decision on his part. Remember Arians calls the play but the QB can throw the ball to anyone who is open.
