RENO, Nev. — The attorney for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is rejecting a settlement offer by a former Nevada casino worker who claims the Super Bowl winner sexually assaulted her. Roethlisberger attorney David Cornwell says the woman's offer is bizarre.

The woman wants Roethlisberger to admit to the allegations, apologize and donate $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women, a Reno nonprofit organization that offers support to domestic violence victims.

In a statement Wednesday, Cornwell says the proposal insults women who have legitimately suffered from sexual misconduct.

Okay if nobody else sees the giant elephant sitting in the room I'll point it out. This woman is offering to receive NOT ONE DIME if Ben acknowledges he forced himself on her, apologizes, and donates money to a charity. Um at this point you cannot say she's a golddigger because under the terms of her settlement offer she wouldn't get any money at all. The methods being employed by Mr. Cornwell are to NEVER admit any wrongdoing whatsoever, turn it around and make it sound ridiculous. Deny, deny, deny.

I love Big Ben as a football fan and wouldn't want any other quarterback but with this woman actually put it in writing that they would drop the case and her not receive a dime if he acknowledges it and apologizes. Which of course he'd never do because that would be much worse for his reputation/endorsements than losing a court case but maintaining his innocence the entire time even if it cost him $500,000.

Do I believe Ben RAPED this woman? No I don't. If she was being RAPED she would have been screaming and they were in a frickin hotel. Do I believe he may have been aggressive in getting laid? Yes probably. She was probably totally consenting and then later on when she realized he just used her for sex she felt ashamed, didn't want to be responsible for any consenting part that she played and so is saying he raped her. Ben is probably used to women pretty much spreading their legs for him.
