Almost kickoff.

Postby lloydgreene » Sun Sep 06, 2009 10:11 pm

Thanks to those who served in camp Tomlin III, but who unfortunately were vying for roster spots on a Super Bowl Championship team filled with talent. It was exciting to watch you all compete.

Now is the time to look forward to the Titans and let the discussions begin.

Some questions I look forward to having answered after the Blackeyed Peas finish lip singing their one hit...

-O-line. Will we be able to give BR7 some time to throw without having to run the length of the field each time? Inevitably Tennessee will bring the heat- run blitzes on 1st down and QB pressure on 2nd and 3rd. Will our O-line hold up?
-Screen Door? I have heard rumors of a sighting of the screen pass in Arians' playbook. Can they execute a screen with lineman who struggle blocking at the line, much less out in space?
-Super Bowl hangover? nuf said about that. I think Coach Tomlin has the perfect attitude and focus on this year for there to be no hangover effects. Coach Cowher clearly tanked his last seasona, Tomlin seems as motivated as ever.
-Will Arians become Offensive? Arians simply must find a way to keep the heat off of our REAL Super Bowl MVP (other than LeBeau)... BR7! We would not have even made it that far without him. Schematically, can Arians make up for the overpaid, underproducing o-line? I can't really be upset with a draft that seems to have been very fruitful for us, but I wish we had been able to bolster our o-line.
-Speaking of LeBeau... CAN the defense become better? He has challenged them all to become better individually and collectively.
-Injuries. Willie Parker and Mendy missed time last year, will they remain healthy. Can BR7 stay on the field and if not does Batch have enough to come in and keep us out of the ditches?
LOGAN'S RUN! How much excitement will that guy bring to the Stiller Nation this year? An extra 5 or 7 yards will make a huge difference with our defense. Not to mention the occaissional touchdown that could put away a game. It would be awesome to win a few by double digits and Logan brings us that opportunity every time he touches the rock.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. I look forward to your comments. BRING ON THE TIT-ANS.

this item is what i'm looking forward to the most. i expect more than 5-7 yards difference.

and better field position might actually help bruce moose's play calling.

They have done a nice job of down-playing the importance of that incident in the media. However, anyone can buy a yellow terry cloth towel. It doesn't become a Terrible Towel until it is twirled vigorously overhead by a rabid, beer-guzzling, I-bleed-Black-&-Gold Stiller fan!

God Bless Myron Cope!

true, it hadn't been initiated into a proper terrible towel, but the symbolism was just as powerful.

how scared will/should nate be?
