I expect to see the starters for the first series and then in street clothes in the 2nd half. Tomlin needs to look no further that Charlie Batch to be reminded that the #1 priority of this game is to escape with no injuries.

Batch would be a quality bacup if he had a line that could give him more than 3 seconds to throw the football.

On a serious note, I just heard Terry Bradshaw landed in Pittsburgh. I think he is here to take Vick's spot in the "baldcat" offense.

Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers S Ryan Mundy could take the place of LB Lawrence Timmons (ankle) in the dime defense in passing situations Thursday, Sept. 3. Timmons plays a linebacker/safety hybrid in those situations. Head coach Mike Tomlin said, "I'm actually quite excited about watching a guy like Ryan Mundy potentially get some snaps at that position."

Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers OL Doug Legursky will primarily play at offensive guard during the team's preseason finale Thursday, Sept. 3, because he has worked more at center during the preseason. Legursky may have a spot on the final roster locked up after OG Darnell Stapleton (knee) was lost for the year, but a strong showing Thursday could solidify his spot on the team.

Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Pittsburgh Steelers WR Limas Sweed and WR Mike Wallace continue to compete for the No.3 position at wide receiver. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians hinted the competition could continue during the regular season. Arians said both will play no matter who the No. 3 and No. 4 wide receiver is. "It might be 3A and 3B depending on our package, what we're asking out of those guys. I'm not saying either one's beat the other one out. They'll both play a lot," added Arians.

Stefan Logan just took a punt return to the house early in the 1st quarter.
He just made the team for sure.

I'm kind of excited to be looking forward to punt returns this season. I remember a couple years ago when I just hoped we held on to the ball everytime.

Offensive line lets Mendy get slammed. Drive stalls. Steelers punt.

Something tells me we'll see that again this season.

Even the back up D looks great.
Arnold Harrison just did his James Harrison impression.
Rushed through the OT and stripped ball from QB.

Redman scores to cap a drive in which he makes a statement to claim a job.
And it was against Panthers #1 D.
You can tell O-line loves blocking for him.

Summers missed another block, causing Vincent to take a hard hit.
The Tank looks sloppy.

Moore's job is in trouble.

We need to trade a RB for some O-line help

I know he is one of Tomlin's favorites, but I really hope we drop Carey Davis for Redman. Davis adds NOTHING to this team. Our 3rd TE can block when we want to use a fullback... and there are plenty of guys to take up his spot on ST.

I respectfully disagree. He's the second best runningback (I personally think THE best) on the team. His ability to catch balls out of the backfield helps Ben dramatically. postgameheroes did a pretty good writeup on him just yesterday here http://www.postgameheroes.com/?p=7540

HE was last year, but this is a what have you done for me lately league.

Others are cheaper, and just as good.

Mendy isn't going any where due to the cap hit.
FWP is the starter.
Redman is younger, CHeaper and steelers exclusive property for years to come.
