douchette
How do the locals put up with this guy.
How does anyone rely upon anything this guy says, when he says things like this:
Will_from_Freehold__NJ: Good afternoon Ed. The defense looked in mid-season form on Saturday, granted it was a pre-season game. Do you believe the defensive unit can be as good as last year's?
Ed Bouchette: Yes, I do, because virtually everyone is back. I do think they will miss Larry Foote because Lawrence Timmons does not seem as good against the run. William Gay is every bit the corner that Darren McFadden was. Also, I don't see any of the old guys looking old.
The fact that most average joes can see Timmon's dominance and speed as opposed to Foote makes you wonder how a purported professional can say such assinine things. Perhaps Mill can create a new moniker for this jackass.
Lastly, what's up with the board, not much discussion any more. are people somewhere else?

Lots of folks discussing things. I'm trying to get the HC see what we all see: Bruce Arians needs to be cut!
So far, no one's taken his side either!

Re: douchette
I am still waiting for Timmons to blow up a guard and make a tackle in the backfield. Sure he is athletic but I still don't know if he has the power to plug a 3rd and short. We will see. Many NFL writers, including Bouchette, feel as if Timmons still has to prove his run stopping ability. Nothing wrong with that thought.
I wouldn't mind having Foote around right now with Timmons possibly sitting week 1 out.

Re: douchette
First, Ed is a company guy.
He gets the info out that the organization wants out.
Someone has to fill that role. In Pittsburgh, it's Ed.
I don't bash him for that.
But I do think Pittsburgh needs a non-company man to tell the other side of the story.
(and in someways, that is what this site has been over the years.)
Yes he has.
Better than Foote against the run.
BTW: look what happens when you make a football post?
PEOPLE RESPOND BY TALKING FOOTBALL.

AMEN!
Re: douchette
Perhaps Mill can create a new moniker for this jackass.
He already has..... "Ted Douchette". He's as useless as a used douche.
Douchette always had a hard on for Larry Foote. Foote sucked, but Douchetter gushed over him as though he were the 2nd coming of Dick Fuking Butkus. Timmons will be 10 times the ILB that Faggott Larry has been.
Re: douchette
Just to clarify -- it was "Bryant McFadden" not Darren. If Ed the "Chum Bucket" Bouchette actually wrote Darren he should be shot on the spot.
Hey Ed -- Darren was a Razorback that plays RB for the Raiders. Wrong POSITION and WRONG TEAM.
Say what you will, but Larry Foote was a poor excuse for a LB. I'm not 100% sold on Timmons either, but I damn sure was disgusted with Foote.

Re: douchette
Does anyone else in here get the distinct impression that Timmons is turning into Kendrell Bell, w/ his recurring injuries? I never trust these friggin' FSU guys to do well (Willie Reid, Zo Jackson, etc).

Re: douchette
I posted pretty much the same idea yesterday in this thread
http://forums.stillers.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3442
You can also find the same question from another Stillers fan in Douchette's Q & A today

Timmons could be a beast. However, I would rather see the coaching staff keep him out a game or 2 to let the dreaded 'high ankle sprain' heal properly. This can be a lingering injury all season if they push him back too soon.

Man, you guys bitch more than your wives, assuming you have them.
I live in DC and you need to hear Larry Michaels down here to find a real company man. You'd think the Redskins have already one the superbowl, as much as they will suck.
Ed may have to massage his relationship with the Stillers, but he also calls a spade a spade. You may not agree with him, but i dont think he makes shit up.
