Legursky seems guaranteed a spot now.

"The team also released wide receivers Stephen Black and Martin Nance, center Alex Stepanovich and safety Derrick Richardson."

I thought they'd at least hold on to Ben's boy (Nance) for the final Pre-season game.

Too Bad about Stapleton

Along the same lines though, I thought Legursky has been putrid thus far in the preseason. He seems to always get blown off the ball. I pray I never see him lined up against Haloti Ngata, else Ben will have a long painful day. Personally, I would like to see Shipley get more work in the next game. Shipley has 3 things working against him: 1) he's a rookie, 2) lack of frame length, and 3) only suited for 1 o-line position (center). However, as a center, he makes great use of leverage and HE CAN BLOCK. Hopefully, he can make it to the practice squad for development.

damn. Not pleased. Staple gave us some experienced depth at OG, ESPECIALLY if Piss Kemo continues to wallow around like a fuking paraplegic. The worst underachiever on this entire club right now is none other than Piss Kemoeatu.

Our offensive line is so bad that it literally makes me wince when I think about it. For a team that has prided itself on running the ball we sure have done a piss poor job in putting an o-line together. I don't care who we have at running back, with the penetration we give up we'll have a hard time gettting consitency from our ground game.

Good posts all. Hate to see it. Again, it is WHY WE HAVE to get linebackers out of the box and keep them thinking coverage in pass formations when we run. No one can run through a 9-man box unless he's Jim Brown or Barry Sanders.

Our OC is consistently worse than Gailey on Gailey's worst day.
How bad is Arians? He is so bad, when you look up "Bad" in the dictionary, you see Chan's picture with a reference that says "Go to 'Worse than this' " and see BA's picture.

Line not good but some imagination will help slow down 9-man rush. A GOOD OC will see that and do something. We just line up and try it again. IDIOCY- doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result.

I agree Mill especially considering the Stapleton could play center in a pinch as well. With our skill position players and defense I do think we still have a legitimate shot at a repeat.

Tough loss.
the guy was the starter in the super bowl last year.

I know Alex Stepanovich hasn't been great since he's been here, but surprised they'd cut him this round with Stapleton going down for the year.

O-line looks real thin and not very talented.
(of course I've been saying that for 2 years.)
