Kendall Simmons??? We could do a lot worse...
This is info from my fantasy league on sandbox.com. I tried to post it as a link but it wasn't active w/o a login.
What do you think? Make Stapleton a backup?
LATEST NEWS - August 27
Former Steelers G Kendall Simmons is rehabbing his Achilles injury and trying to make a comeback. Several NFL teams are monitoring Simmons, according to sources, and he is upbeat about how well he is getting around. He is working out with the Auburn football team and hopes to be back in the league soon. There are sure to be injuries around the league and he should get a nibble.

I don't see the front office bringing him back. In fact, I'm trying to think of a player they released, that went on to play for another team for a least one season, and then was brought back to the Stillers. I can't think of any.
No, KenDoll was -- and remains -- a turnstile. He's also good for at least one dumb ass attack per game. They can do better.

Willie Williams (to Seattle and back)
Orpheus Roye (to Cleveland and back)
Chad Brown (never played in a game but was resigned)
I pretty much agree with you though.

True. I knew there were a few out there, I just couldn't think of any.

Definitely.... They did come back but pretty much only played on ST to my recollection. Shit, his first time around with the Steelers, Roye pretty much only played ST.

Chad Brown played in the 4th quarter of a game where we were up big and recorded at least a tackle or sack

Chad Brown's whole game fell apart the minute he signed with Seattle. He should have taken less money and stayed in our defensive system. He was a washed up, no self confidence has been when he made it back.

Maybe we should take another look.
( I can't believe I just typed that.)

But Chad's wife likes sushi, and you just can't get good sushi in Pittsburgh.

I heard on the radio that Simmons signed today, I believe it was with the pats.

Yes, in the drubbing of KC in which Troy was pulled down by his hair. I was there. It was glorious.

In a corresponding move, the Patriots reached agreement Sunday with free-agent guard Kendall Simmons, a source close to the player told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Simmons will fill the roster spot vacated by Seymour.
You have to wonder what Belichick is up to with this move?
