Dulac says 6 Offensive rookies could make team

Postby thesteelhammer » Thu Aug 20, 2009 7:15 pm

Gerry Dulac, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports as many as six offensive rookies could make the team's final roster. TE David Johnson, WR Mike Wallace, OG Kraig Urbik, OL Ramon Foster, RB Isaac Redman and RB Frank Summers are candidates to make the team. Redman and Foster both went undrafted.

Bet it's only five.

I agree, 5 at most. Doubt that both Redman & Summers will make it...1 will go on Practice Squad.

What is story on Urbik? Heard he is stinking up the camp. Also, what about Keenan Lewis? He makes it from all I read.
I am thinking davis goes and keep both Redzone and Summers.
So, we keep Wallace, Hood, Lewis, Summers, Burnett, Johnson, Foster and Redzone from this draft?
Urbik a project?

Foster's performance has dominated Urbik's all through camp. He's just as big and played in the rugged SEC. Foster played under a lot coaching changes at UT thats why he slipped through the cracks. Johnson can play the fullback position according to Arians so McHugh and Carey Davis are gone. Madison may be gone too.

Bouchette from PPG.......The Steelers have been looking for a short-yardage back, unsuccessfully, since Jerome Bettis retired after the 2005 season. They drafted Frank "The Tank" Summers (5 feet 10, 240 pounds) to possibly handle that role. Redman (6-0, 230) is giving him a run for it.

"You guys saw what I saw, he got in the end zone a bunch," Tomlin said.

I vote Redman.

You, of course, declaring he has graduated from the 2nd grade? Do you have factual knowledge of this implied fact? Should evidence be required to verify your conclusion, I assume your proof is available for certification and visable viewing? Until such documentation be found and produced, legitimately of course, I will respectfully decline this advanced state of promotion.
