With Stapleton out and starting center Justin Hartwig limited by a toe injury, the Steelers brought in two centers for workouts Friday. But both centers -- Alex Stepanovich, a six-year veteran who played for the Atlanta Falcons last season, and rookie Alex Derenthal -- left without contracts.

Stepanovich was a decent starter for Ohio State some years back.
A little undersized but decent and scrappy.

Wonder if the Steelers will keep shopping?

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said C Justin Hartwig (toe) should be able to return to practice in the near future.

Hey Justin, Your job is being shopped around. Time to get healthy.

What seems to be the consensus on AQ Shipley?

Lacks the physical skills to play at this level.
