Watching the Steelers in other markets
I live in Eagles territory, so I compared the television schedules for them and the Steelers.
So far it looks pretty good. Only two weeks where they play at the same time and station. Three weeks they play at same time but different station. But around here it seems that CBS would rather air infomercials than a game opposite the Eagles. We'll see.
Five games in prime-time which is nice, except I no longer get NFL Network.
My father lives in Canton, so I compared PIT's schedule with Cleveland's. He won't fair as well. 6 games at same time and station.
Just wondering if anyone else struggles with being able to watch the Steelers. I dream of a far-off day when I will have Sunday Ticket and a big TV.

That's what Steelers Bars are for.
and why they are located all over the nation.

Dude - time to quit dreaming and get moving... get a part-time job to supplement your income and get the Sunday ticket and the big TV!

I agree with NovaStiller.
TVs are getting cheaper all the time now. You can get a very respectable 50" set for well under $1000.
And as for Sunday Ticket....
I live out here in Cali, so I gotta have Sunday Ticket to watch the games. I call DirecTV and whine every year about how much it costs and they give me a discount every time. Last year I got Sunday Ticket with Superfan for free. This year I got them for about half price (~$200). It's a lot more affordable than a lot of people think.

yeah, i know the prices are coming way down in both areas, but it's just too much still.
student loans, new baby, and my hours at work got cut in half...
if we stretch our funds in any area, it will be to get a house first.
i did find some steelers bars on the list, but they're not in the best area... so i don't know.

I'm here in Philly too and I understand your frustration. Bishop's Collar near the Art Museum is good but small. You'll get love over at Casey's taven in Upper Darby with a boatload of TVs and space.

How come I just graduated with a mechanical engineering degree (with a minor in Aerospace) and still can't find a job? Ugh. I'm thinking about joining the Air Force as an officer but I have a feeling I'm going to sent to some foreign country where I won't be able to watch/keep up with Steeler games. It's absolute bullshit. Thank you President Obama

i'm actually out near reading
it is kind of nice, though, because i get two fox stations. the one out of philly and another out of york that will sometimes defer to a redskins or other nfc game. so, when i'm lucky, i can watch 3 games at 1 pm.
i know what you're saying nova, but it really can't be done right now. it would be really irresponsible of me.
plus we're in an apartment and can't have a dish at all, so it's not even an option. and our tv isn't too bad. it's kind of big, just not high def or anything. plus it was free. and i'm pretty sure if i bought a new tv, my 1 year old daughter would throw a toy through it.
Re: Watching the Steelers in other markets
I know it's not the same as watching the stillers on tv, but last year I got NFL Field Pass (the nfl.com radio deal) on my computer. It's like $40, and you can listen to Tunch, Woofley and the guys every week. I am probably gonna do it again this year
