I love the smell of vindication in the morning. [UPDATE: It’s morning somewhere.]

It smells like Febreze.

Mark Rosen of WCCO reports that, indeed, the Vikings and quarterback Brett Favre have agreed to terms on a contract, and that Favre will attend training camp.

Unless, you know, he doesn’t.

Rosen also confirms our report that purple jerseys bearing Favre’s number and name already have been ordered.

From our perspective, there was no doubt about it. Though the manner in which it came to us was unusual, the point was that a source in position to know the truth thereafter told us, “I can’t tell you anything, but I will not deny it either, and I’ll leave it at that.”

At first I was thinking we played him in 2005 but then I remembered Charlie Batch played in that game I believe. I wouldn't mind seeing Roethlisberger vs Favre twice next season

I just want to see Harrison and Woodley make a Favre sandwich during the game this year. I'd love to have them send him limping off the field. I'm so sick of Favre. How many SBs did he win? One. That's right...uno! And that was when? That's right, 13 years ago. So what's the big god damn deal about Favre? Your guess is as good as mine.

yeah - one friggin SB win that was when Ben was a freshman in HS. I am so sick of every friggin team becoming an instant contender when they sign Favre. I hope Ryan Clark lays out that fossil on a safety blitz.
