In an interview with the Sporting News, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Santonio Holmes said he can put up big numbers this season if provided with more opportunities. "I tell my coaches, 'If you can give me six catches in a game, or at least eight opportunities, I'm going to give you 100 yards and a touchdown every game,'" Holmes said.

His streaky play bothers me. Plays great for a handful of games then doesn't show up. At least he got the timing right last season.

That being said, I think he breaks the 1000 yard mark this year. Schedule after week 2 is way too easy not to. I'm hoping for 1,200

Hard to catch the ball when we'll be punting on 4th downs after 3 off-tackle plays! Couldn't resist the BA dig there. He's got the talent to back it up. Get Ward his 10k yards this year and then some and over 800 grabs. Get Tone is 1st 1K yr and then some. Open it up and "play to win", NOT "play not to lose". Big difference as we all know.

a lot of things are pleasing me this off-season, and you can add this to the list. you can feel the difference in attitude for this season and the season after SB XL. they are still hungry.

Ben, FWP, Tone all talking big goals - sounds like this group isn't complacent - a good thing. Ward's got 2 yrs left & then Tone's gonna be the 80 catch guy. Gotta hope that Sweed or someone else can step up to #2 in 2011.
