Dixon vs Batch for #2
With Batch getting older, is Dixon ready to be the #2? Also, does anyone think BA will use Dixon in a slash role, like we did with Kordell?

I think Batch is still the better QB and will win the #2 job.
The real questions are can Batch stay healthy and if he can't will the Steelers let Dixon be te #2 or will they sign a veteran?

I WANT to see this kid play! We know Ben can, now let this kid play in pre-season. Batch will never start again but a good team guy to have around. Let him get some minutes in preseason but give most of time to Dixon.
He was legit Heisman candidate before going down. 2 yrs now to heal. Let's see what he has. I think he has it. I think he brings an elusive, athletic running element that defenses will need to scheme for if he comes in. I'd love to see him handoff to a back with a reverse to Hines who lofts a pass to a wide open DD who slipped out down the sidelines. Not a steady dose of "Slash" stuff but he has that athletic ability.

I couldn't agree more. Batch has looked pretty bad the last few games he's been in. I think his age is catching up to him. Having seen DD only play pre season may not mean a lot, but he sure as hell looked electric on the football field. Give the kid a chance. I think he'll be able to turn heads!

There have been a lot of good things said in OTA's about Dixon. However, this is far from game time. If he can play at a high level in the preseason he can make it a tough choice for the coaches.
I think both Batch and Dixon make the team this year. It would be good to see Dixon get some Playing time late in a game to see what he can do.
Dixon is the backup of the future.

Dixon as the #2 so he can come in occassionally for a little Wildcat stuff. He's too talented to keep off the field.
Batch is the emergency guy in case someone goes down.

Batch is fragile. He's old. His time has come and gone. He will pull a calf muscle carrying his luggage at camp. He's not even fit to be a number 3 guy. He should stick to his community work and show off his super bowl ring. Dixon has matured and he's a dynamic athlete. Slash or some wildcat either one is fine with me but he needs to see the field. Lets give him a role of some sort. Here we go now.

I couldn't agree more. He has to see some playing time this year. Is Arians creative enough to find a way to get him on the field? I don't thinks so. But who knows.......
