Steelers pursuing Roscoe Parrish
Wow... I came over here to read what was being said about the Roscoe Parish talks and there is nothing being said, lol.
You guys don't even know?
Get with the program, hah.
Could the release of Gary Russell signify something else? Like a potential draft day trade is in the works for a return man?
According to an NFL source, the Bills have been in talks about dealing wide receiver and return specialist Roscoe Parrish to the Steelers.
He is from The U, an explosive returner and a would be a great replacement for Nate. Very similar type of player, except Roscoe has the return skills to boot.
I think all you guys know of him, but if you don't know, he led the NFL with a 16.3-yard average in 2007 and a 15.3-yard average in 2008 on punts. He also scored on a return at least once in each of his past three seasons. His career average is 23.7 on kickoffs.
If the Steelers can land Parrish, no doubt in my mind Steelers are 2009 Superbowl favorites, hands down.
In fact, as much as I hate to say it, I can see the Steelers going 15-1 in 2009, maybe even 16-0 if the Titans don't get it done in week 1 .
Anyways, debate away.

typical Titans fan.
buying into every pre-draft rumor.

The Bills have been shopping him for a week.
and the "rumors" have been to many teams.
pretty sure Parrish got stopped for DUI in 2008.

I don't see Colbert/Tomlin rolling the dice with him. Tomlin already had his hands full with Holmes little run in with the law last season...

Typical Titan fan buying into every pre-draft rumor? Are Titans fans well known for that? Go fuck yourself.
J/k, don't ban me I kid
As for Tomlin not rolling the dice, it's one DUI, not a big deal at all, lots of NFL players have them. The big deal is his size, he is my height and weighs less than me. But he is lightning fast and has good hands, I'm telling ya, if the Steelers pick him up, which is VERY likely, why else would they have cut current return man Gary Russel at this point in the offseason?... he is the missing piece.
You need a 4th WR after losing Nate, and Parrish is that slot guy, not to mention his dynamic return abilities.
Surprised you guys aren't all over this???

Good post Titan Steve. Although the trade may never materialize there is nothing wrong with pre-draft speculation as there is very little else going on this time of year. (especially with the Steelers as they are never big players in free agency)

Titan fans are known for being suckers, who buy into hype.
Now there is nothing wrong with speculation for discussion purposes, but All I'm saying is don't come here bashing us cause we aren't all hyped about RUMORS about an undersized drunk.

I read about Parrish's availability after the Bills stupidly signed TO. Stillers don't usually take chances w/ playas from the "U" ( I thnk Searcy could be last 'Cane on roster?) but they need a 3-wr & a return guy - this would fill 2 needs & allow them to focus on CB, OL & DL in the draft. It would definitely push butterfingers Sweed.

Further Proof PaTitanSteve is chasing rumors
Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers likely will not acquire Buffalo Bills WR Roscoe Parrish because they are close to the salary cap, according to a league source
