James Harrison contract/workout update

Postby thesteelhammer » Mon Mar 16, 2009 10:27 pm

James Walker, of ESPN.com, reports Pittsburgh Steelers LB James Harrison will attend the team's offseason workout program Monday, March 16, despite unresolved contractual issues, agent Bill Parise said. Both sides remain in constant talks, so there was no need for Harrison to miss the session, according to Parise, as it could lead to unwarranted tension.

Sounds promising. :)

Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, reports Bill Parise, agent for Pittsburgh Steelers LB James Harrison, said he and the Steelers are very close to an agreement on a contract extension for Harrison. A deal could be done as early as next week.

KDKA.com reports the Pittsburgh Steelers are close to a contact extension with LB James Harrison that is believed to be worth around $45 million, according to KDKA's Bob Pompeani. The length of the contract is not known.

Maybe 18-20 mill in guaranteed money is what i'm hearing. Good to see SB make some well deserved jack.

Sounds too pricey for a guy who's going to be 31 soon.
