According to local radio ESPN 1250, Mack is expected to visit Pittsburgh TODAY and be given a tour of the city. The C out of California will preform light drills for the team on Monday April 6th.

My guess is that the Rooney's must think very highly of Alex Mack. Last week, Phil Loadholt visited the Steelers for only a few hours. To have Mack Truck be escorted around town with the Rooney's and Front Office officials really means something.

I would love to see Mack picked in the first round.

the stillers of course have a long and distinguished line of hof centers that has been conspicuously absent the past few seasons.

i like mack at 1.32, as i believe he could contribute to that lineage. he'd also bump hartwig to rg, thereby improving us at two positions on the line. now if we could only find a way to pick up a LT and move starks back to the right side...

Sounds like a slumber party! Alex and Hartwig will definitely have to engage in a first blood pillow fight to see who is more of a pigskin snapping animal. :balloon:

This is one of several first round talents that have to be on the radar @#32. Here's to hoping Mack likes what he sees.

He won't make #32. And I hope the Steelers don't trade anything dumb away when they move up a few spots to get him.

If he's not there Unger probably will be. Very similar abilities. Both centers can play multiple line positions.

If we take Mack, they better get him a conditioning program going quick. His bench press was lame. He is weak in the upper body.

it's going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG wait for 1.32. good thing they shortened the pick times to 10 minutes.

Unless this guy is another Webster, I HATE spending a 1st rd'r on a C. History shows that you can find these guys later in the draft. They need a corner to replace McFadden, DL depth, & OL depth in that order.
