Browns WR, Donte Stallworth, kills man
Depending on what, if anything, he is charged with, this could effect his availablity to the browns, and their draft plan.

Browns WR Donte Stallworth was involved in a fatal car accident early Saturday morning. Stallworth hit and killed a 49-year-old pedestrian with his Bentley in Miami Beach, Fla., reports indicate.
He has not been charged with a crime, but was detained and questioned by police. Stallworth was cooperative with the investigation. Blood was taken from Stallworth and will be tested for drugs and alcohol, but the results of those tests are not yet known.
Stallworth, 28, signed with the Browns last offseason after spending the previous six seasons with New Orleans, Philadelphia and New England.

Unbelievable.
...from cleveland.com
Poor guy had just got off work and was trying to get home. Of course we don't really know all the circumstances yet...

Witnesses told the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel that Reyes worked at a nearby shipping company as an overnight crane operator. They said he had just finished his shift and was crossing the street to catch a bus when he was killed.

He was one of the very worst FA signings last year. He did virtually NOTHING for this team. I don't think he would have been a factor on what moves the Browns make regardless of whether this accident happened or not. They will be drafting a WR high with or without this bust. They also lost Winslow. (I know, TE but still a major % of their passing game.) Look for the Browns to go heavy and high with any front 7 guys who can rush the QB, play makers in the passing game and a running back. (I hear maybe QB too, as the new regime not high on Brady)

Jason Cole, of Yahoo! Sports, reports Miami police have indicated Cleveland Browns WR Donte' Stallworth is expected to be charged as a result of the driving accident that killed a pedestrian early Saturday, March 14, two sources with knowledge of the investigation said. Pending the outcome of the investigation, which includes results of a blood test for drugs or alcohol, the sources said driving under the influence, vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving were among the possible charges. "The police seem pretty confident that they're going to charge him," a league source said. " … Even if he (is) clean, I think the police feel he's going to be charged with something, regardless."
ESPN.com reports Miami Beach police are awaiting the toxicology report for Cleveland Browns WR Donte' Stallworth before releasing information into his car accident that killed a pedestrian. Police spokesman Juan Sanchez said Monday, March 16, that the routine blood work had not made it to the lab yet. Sanchez said results are expected to be released by the end of the week.

What I don't understand about this whole situation is why Dante didn't take a breathalizer on site. Did I miss this somewhere?

do you get a compensatory draft pick if you lose a player to the prison league?
