Had to stop by and ask about Nate. Seeing some posts, I hope we didn't get a "lemon" so to speak.
What are his positives/ negatives?
Thanks and take care,

Nate was an excellent #3 here in the Burgh. He can get open with ease, and if the Qb can find him with a great pass he will do fine. He needs to brush up on his ability to fight for the ball in traffic.

DirtySouth wrote:Once again I see people hating on players because they left, to make themselves feel better about them leaving. COngrats Nate! If you watched the SB you could see Hines whispering in Nate's ear. I'm sure he felt that the guy would leave and make more money. These guys know what their market value is BEFORE they become free agents. That's what a good agent/lawyer does. Project the market. Go look at the end of the game, Hines knew Nate was going to leave. Nate had some drops but Ben underthrew the guy at least once a game. I'll miss him.
I'm happy for him.
people have been saying nate sucks for the last 4 yrs on this site, what the fuck rock you been living under?
some of you are clueles, nate was the number 4 here until cedric wilson had his off the field problems. nates a servicable number 3 if you have nothing better, end of story!

Re: Nate a Titan
I liked Nate as a third receiver but calling him a Beast is complete joke. As a third receiver he's pretty good. As a 1 or a 2. I don't know. The concerns have been well documented. Short arms over the middle. Drops too many passes. Doesn't use his body as well as he should for his size. Not a great blocker on a team led by the greatest blocking WR in NFL history.
But he has gotten better overall.
Again, nice 3rd wr but no beast by any stretch of the imagination.

He is a pussy...he cannot take a hit and drops sure TD's as often as Jenna Jameson drops to her knees.
I hope Lendale "Crisco-LardAss" White enjoyed stompng on the Terrible Towel.. HAHAHAH! You are a classless organization.. Get the fuck out of here.
When I think of class, I certainly don't think of someone who calls one of his own (former) receivers a pussy, and compares him to a porn star.
Nor do I consider someone who responds to a simple question with blatant, retarded flames to have very much class.
Voltan-
I must agree with most of the posters here. Nate is a bit inconsistent, and may make an OK second receiver. In my mind, that's up for debate.
He's always been a solid number 3.
Dude is pretty damn fast and gives you a considerable deep threat, IF he comes down with the ball.
He catches the impossible throws, and drops the easy ones.
So, I have a question for you. How do you think Haynesworth's replacement will do? (I can't remember his name, even though he gave Ben hell)

Thanks for the responses (well most of them ) I'll take a wait and see approach on Nate. I will say that stretching the field alone gives Chris Johnson an extra 2-3 yards to work with and that could make all the difference.
ILLSTILL,
Jason Jones had a great game against your Stillers, but a lot of Titans fans believe that was because of your offensive line. Jones is good, but it would be wishful thinking to think that he can compare to Haynesworth. Here's hoping!
Personally, I believe that we will take a different approach with Chuck Cecil as our DC. Where Schwartz played a lot of zone and rushed only with the DL, I'm expecting more of a blitzing scheme keeping the DL fresh by strong rotation (hence picking up Jovan Haye). We definitely have the players to take that approach.
Hope that helps!

I gotta admit I'm gonna miss old Nate. Yes, he had a tendency to drop the easy catches. But I think he made some big strides this year. He always was a team player and does have insane athletic ability. If he can catch more consistently the Titans could have a huge playmaker for the next few years. Good luck Nate!

Haha awesome! That's what I love to hear, "toomuchmerrilhoge" not only is your name the shit, you are also the shit. Nate, like you said, is a complete athletic freak and I really believe he's gonna be a huge play maker and really open lanes to let CJ absolutely fucking dominate next year.
Although I never liked the Steelers I was always a Nate fan and was hoping the Titans would sign him.
And oh, here's to the Ravens new signings!
Glad to see Ray Lewis still in your division and not mine, dude is a fucking warrior. He may be getting slow but he still hits like a mother!

Check back mid-season when Nate has dropped a dozen balls. Tell us what you think then.
Amazing athlete. Mediocre WR.

"A big one," offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said on Monday night. "The guy (Washington) became a heck of a player for us. He takes the top end off the coverage. "
He's gonna keep the safety honest and open huge lanes for CJ........... 2009...............LOOK OUT!
Wouldn't it be pretty funny if all the Steelers come out waving their towels in front of the Titans sidelines opening day

and TO?
Terrell Owens at Nashville airport?
T.O. and agent Drew Rosenhaus were allegedly there at 7AM. This is obviously third-hand information and hard to verify, but it's interesting nonetheless. Though the Nashville Tennessean has reported otherwise, ESPN's Chris Mortensen has hinted the Titans are one of the few teams that might consider pursuing Owens. March 6 - 11:43 a.m. ET
