Updating a previous item, Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets will sign OG Chris Kemoeatu (Steelers), barring another team jumping in at the 11th hour. Per league sources, the Pittsburgh Steelers will not pursue the re-signing of Kemoeatu.

Apparently the Steelers told his agent they were bowing out then Kemo kept calling begging them to change their mind. My hope is they move this guy to RG and bring in a quality LG throught the draft (DUKE R) or trade for Brian Waters who wants out of KC

Not what I'd anticipated or wanted. Kemo is a turnstile who, under the tutelage of Zierlein,
will only get worse. Switching Simmons for Kemo may be a downgrade.

Love it. Kemo-Macho is just developing his nasty! Question his IQ? He took less money to be a winner. Always great to have guys who are team first!

Simmons had trouble holding his position when he had a healthy Achilles. This guy hasn't been the same since he had diabetes. Even then I didn't see him ever being better than average. Kemo might do a little better at RG...at least Ben can have a better view of Kemo's whiffs rather than being blind-sided. $4 mil per not bad..in a year or two that's what backup guards will be making the way this off season is going.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed unrestricted free-agent OG Chris Kemoeatu to a five-year deal worth $20 million, according to sources. The contract includes around $6 million in guarantees.
