Kemo's agent suffering from delusion
From the PG --
The agent for one, starting guard Chris Kemoeatu, expects to meet with the Steelers this week and believes an offer will come out of it.
"I would hope so," said Ken Vierra. "Having not spoken with them yet, I don't know where they're at, but he's one of the better guards in the league, he's 26 and has room for improvement. If you have one of the better guards in the league, you try to keep him."
For sure, some of this is be posturing, but remember, the Stillers tried to lock up Piss Kemo last offseason and could not. This stupid fuk Vierra thinks Piss Kemo is the 2nd coming of Hannah & Hutchinson all rolled into one.
Kemo's worst aspect is his total inability to brawl in close quarters. On the PULL, he is very effective. In close quarters brawling, he flails about pitifully. I guess he could improve in this aspect, although you'd think a lot of this would be pure INSTINCT, and if ya don't have instinct by now, it ain't a-comin' any time soon.
What is disturbing about Kemo is that he had this reputation of being a "mauler" coming out of college, and he certainly fits the PHYSICAL profile of one, yet he constantly gets an ass-beating in those critical one-on-one situations.
This is indeed most disturbing. I can understand when a player is simply over-whelmed by sheer size and talent. ie, (hypothetically) Mewelde Moore getting run over by a Suggs in pass pro. Or 11-year veteran D. Townsend getting tooled by a Randy Moss.
In Kemo's case, this guy has no feel, no instinct, and no guile. The worst play all season was the horseshit blocking attempt on Foster on the goal to go plunge vs. Indy. Foster purposely ducked low, and Kemo barged past him like a clueless fuking idiot. Foster then got up and lambasted the RB. A lineman at the AAA level of the WPIAL has enough sense to simply fall ATOP a juvenilish move like that. Kemo's total lack of awareness and grappling ability in close quarters is utterly incredible this deep into his career. Frankly, if he hasn't gotten it by now, I'm not so sure he'll ever get it.
Colbert has painted himself into a corner with seemingly a dozen OL becoming FAs in March...so he has to give Kemo a look and he almost has to make a stab at retaining him. But hopefully he's not paying attention to the imbecilic posturing of Kemo's agent.

Re: Kemo's agent suffering from delusion
It is hillarious that his agent Vierra thinks he is one of the best guards in the league. Vierra it is reported is from Pittsburgh, so under what rock has this guy been hiding under all season. Even if he never looked at anything written on the bare truth weaknesses of the team exposed on this site, the local rags as well as national media have not been kind to this offensive line. I never read anything written anywhere that said poor offensive line except for this stud Kemo. He needs to be paid a journeyman wage to match his abilities. There in no ProBowl in his future!

...true, but there are so many dumbass GMs out there who would gladly pick up an average LG from a Super Bowl team. I can think of a few...the Redskins, Raiders, Browns...
...and of course your agent is going to say you're a great player. What if Kemo's agent said 'yep, he's pretty much a shitbag who looks real mean but can't pick up a blitz to save his life' ?

What happened to the old "kick 'em in the head Kemo" and the aggression he should have been showing by pancaking inside rushers? Kemo has shown he can't handle playing LG on a regular basis.

Re: Kemo's agent suffering from delusion
I will be surpirsed if they resign Kemo. I think both he & his agent think he is worth more than the Steelers do. The Steelers are sometimeds called cheap & not loyal because of doing this (I think of the last Kimo, Porter, Haggans & even Plex as recent examples) but to me its just good business - if the number they want is at least semi-close to what you think they are worth, fine... do the deal. However, if either A) they think they are worth more than you do [i.e. Plex] or B) some other team will pay them a lot more than you think is reasonable [see Joey Prter] then you gotta let them go which is what I think happens to Kemo.
