Mundy re-signed to futures contract
Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed FS Ryan Mundy to a futures contract. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Players that are signed to “reserve/future†contracts are signed for the 2009 season even though the season does not officially begin until March.
Only players who were not on any NFL team’s active roster when the 2008 season ended are eligible for such a signing; if they were under contract they would remain so until March.
Players who were on practice squads at the end of the season are eligible to sign with any team.
